I used to be a Heroic Member, until one day I posted something that was ON TOPIC on an OFF TOPIC thread. A few minutes later Yoozel blacklisted (grr..) every single person who posted on the thread for three days. Now that my ban has expired, I noticed I'm back to a regular member. Is it possible to ever become a Heroic Member again?

I'm pretty sure a smaller ban like that won't affect your trust rating forever. From what I remember reading, I'm pretty sure its safe to say that if you keep up a good attitude, post constructively, etc you could regain your title.

I am pretty sure you can always gain ranks back through being helpful and nice on the forums. Unless you do something horribly wrong to get blacklisted

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

Unless it's been changed, a three-day ban doesn't last more than a month. Just give it some time and you'll be back to normal in no time.

Taxes do nothing to affect the share of wealth, since taxes are only applied to income.

So that's not even a part of the conversation at all, so it's pointless talking about it....

"for a "best" moral to exist, there must exist the "best" moral base. If the base of morality varies from location to location, culture to culture...then there can't be an absolute moral..

can you please explain to us how the automated trust system will recognize and quantify his good attitude? how will the system assess whether his posts are constructive or not?

as far as i can see, we have no reason to believe that the trust system takes the quality of a post into account. from what we have heard, we should believe that bans ding your trust rating and that time and making additional posts that do not warrant bans will improve one's ranking.

so, for anyone who wants to earn a member title, all that he has to do is keep his account active (log in, make posts) and avoid bans. it is just that simple.

Ha, forgot to explain myself....

The effect of a three-day ban doesn't last more than a month...speaking in terms of negative trust rating points.

My logic is undeniable.

I'll never make Mythic, I get blacklisted about as frequently as I pee, and I have an inbox with more messages from the Disembodied soul than I do other members. I should create an account and just not use it. So I have at least one that's Mythic.

I'm pretty sure account activity is taken into account. Plus the account will have to be in general around 4 years old.

That's what I meant, use this one, only get this one blacklisted then all I have to do is wait for the other one to be promoted. Albeit 4 years.

I thought about that for a while, too, and I came to this conclusion: posting constructively might not be detected by the system, but it can still be taken into account. The moderators are the ones who take the quality of posts into account -- for example, if a post is illegible and inflammatory to the point where it's more or less spam, that person could receive a vacation, lowering their trust rating. So, my two cents would be that quality of posts do affect your trust rating, but indirectly.

I would agree with everything else you said -- essentially, as long as you don't do bad stuff, your trust rating shouldn't be shrinking like a cotton shirt in a dryer. OP, I can't imagine that your three-day ban will last too terribly long on your trust rating.
