9600XT. There's your card. Less than $130. Good card, cheap for what you get, and I have overclocked it 15% beyond what's it's specified to do...with sotck cooling...and it still runs cool.

9600XT, then 9800, then 9800 Pro.

Overclocking? Meh, just get ATi Tray Tools and you can oc the card pretty easily. Although, you have to tweak it in about 5 MHz intervals or you can damage the card/get artifacts in the video feed.

Never. The 9800 Pro has a better chipset, and I haven't been able to oc it's memory to match the 9800 Pro's speed...but I'm getting closer. Right now I've got it at 580MHz core/380MHz memory, up from 500/300.

Haha, I am currently pushing it pretty hard. It no longer has stock cooling, I put a Vantec cooler on it a few years ago.

I have a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card. It gets the job done. However, I haven't experienced anything else out there so I'm not sure how it rates. For the price ($30) it works quite nicely. My roommate and I both have them and play CS with them. It really adds a nice touch with my 6.1 Logitech speakers. I think that this sound card is really worth the $30 if you want to get a nice surround system.

Yeah, I like Turtle Beach. On my old computer I had the Sound Blaster Audigy, but I got a new Turtle Beach one to replace it, and it seemed a lot cleaner.

I have 2.1 speakers, but then I use my bass guitar cab as my extra subwoofer. It's 600 watts :o

Imagine how annoyed the neighbors get.

What does that have to do with anyway. Yeah it is pretty bad. Well I think it is, depends on what your standards of good/bad are.

Your SiS is an integrated graphics thing. My cousin has that and it wouldn't let him play Halo it said something about hardware acceleration.

its recommended to use nvidia 6 series or at least a radeon 9250 series to play halo, if u want smooth and enjoyable gameplay. if u can't afford it, check on microsoft.com for list of supported chipsets.

Lol, the realizm...too much for gaming. It's meant as a developer's tool. X850XT, my god I love that thing.

No, and I don't plan to. Why? A SLI board costs far more, about 100 more, than a regular nForce 4 board. Second, the performance gap between an X850XT and dual 6600's is very slight. Third, if I got dual 6800's, it would cost me another $400. So, it would cost another $500 for me to get SLI. With the graphics you get, it's not worth it.

In SLI, the cards aren't used to their potential anyway. You would think that dual 6600's would be twice as fast as one, but that's not the case. There's maybe a 50% max increase in graphics.

SLI is great if you have extra cash, but the X850XT is currently the fastest and most powerful video card on the market, excluding 3D-labs cards. I wouldn't say much is a 'ton' better...

6600 is a good card. 6200? Didn't know it existed, probably not great.
