It's a good setup. The 9800 Pro by Sapphire is like a 9800SE. It's the only time Sapphire has double crossed us!

Heyyo,

Nope, sapphire for the 9600 series betrayed us there too. the one's with the black pcb had cheap vram that usually failed after 2 months.... so watch out for those too.. mine's onna blue pcb with samsung vram, so it's safe.

Here's another question. Are PCI express slots used for anything other than graphics cards?

Sapphire, Gigabyte, Powercolor, Connect3D, and others basically get rights to use the ATI specs and stuff, and produce them for much cheaper. It's a win-win for them and ATI.

PCI-e, the main 16x is only for graphics cards. But, the other PCI-e 1x and such...Nobody knows what is going to go in those. I know they're small, but faster than AGP.

If your motherboard has PCI-e, you have it at 1x.

I only saw PCI and a PCI express slot. All the PCI slots looked the same except the express one.

Hmm, that may actually be true for the first wave of nForce motherboards. I never looked at those when they came out, but it's possible that they at first didn't have the 1x slots.

That's a card for overseas, right? On a russian forum I heard that it was on par with the 6600GT. I'm not sure, however, because Idon't follow overseas stuff.

No, nVidia and ATI make different versions of cards for different countries, like car companies make different cars for different countries. It's all about the target audience.

Yes, they work on ANY pc.

I think that most card makers produce cards for US/Canada/Mexico/UK (pretty much all of those countries get the same stuff), Russia, France, Japan, China, etc. The major countries that have a large concentration of computers have their own lines for computer parts to fit the consumer market.
