Ioniz - I have never heard of a bad card from eVGA. They seem to be a very good company.
Basically, yesterday and such was, well, what I've seen even worse in other forums...ie ATi vs. nVidia...it's a bad scene, let's not go there again, truce, eh?
I have also officially decided that ATi is either overpriced, or nVidia sells their cards for one helluva deal. I've known this for a while, but I've been stubborn. If you have no budget, SLI is good. If you have a medium budget, ATi is good, on a tight budget, nVidia is good.
Deep Fryed, the X850XT...that thing's fan is basically a leaf blower on steroids. On stock settings, it's barely enough to cool the thing. In LAN's, if I plan to play for 2+ hours, I use ATi Tray Tools to crank up the fan. At 100% it is louder than a 12cm case fan. The X800XT, I'm not sure how it performs temp wise, but I don't think sound is an issue. If sound isn't an issue, then go ahead and get the X850**, I have found that on most sites it's actually cheaper than many X800 series cards.
In hindsight, the X850XT is somewhat of an experimental card, as it's the only one on the consumer market that actually has an exhaust port...the damn thing actually heats my room 1C degree every hour...
