hey how did Galactica survive tho? I can't remember very well, but I recall they found a jamming device in their bridge. As for why the uber-battlestars all failed, I'm still a little hazy.

Devil is Double is Deuce and Joker always trumps Deuce.

A small animal characteristically soft, furry, and pleasing to most humanoids (with the exception of Klingons). Tribbles give off a soft purring sound that is soothing to many.
They are also a-blam!-, born pregnant, the only determinant of birthing being how much food they consume. The Federation first encountered tribbles on space station K-7 on stardate 4523.3.

the offical explanation.

Hey, hey, hey! That's my territory! Don't make me mark it....

lol, I bow to the superior knowledge of you guys on the tribble subject -- I only admit to being a closet-trekkie myself (it runs in the family, honest!)

2) their not looking for Earth, they are just running, so they have no hope, and also no real plot

3) i give that, because she knew who was the other robot

Okay, yah I guess he DID make first contact with them.

Hey so how's this for a series in the far future; The Battlestar Galactica and fleet find earth, amass a mega army, and then go back to conquer the cylons...? btw it would have to be a heck of a long time from now.

In 1947, a Ferengi craft from the 2370s crashed in Roswell, New Mexico. This was humanity's first contact with the Ferengi.

At some point between 1947 and 2151, the Ferengi purchased warp drive from the Breen.

In 2151, Ferengi raided the starship Enterprise (NX-01), but were quickly defeated. Their racial identity remained unknown to the humans.

In 2355, the (still unknown) Ferengi fought Jean-Luc Picard at the Battle of Maxia.

In 2364, official first contact was made between the Ferengi Alliance and the United Federation of Planets at the planet Delphi Ardu.

ha told you archer never met them, ha i show my hate for the new series :-D.

does it make me a trekkie, beucause i know what he is talking about

I totally love Battlestar Galactica! The mini-series kicked total ass and the first two episodes did too. The thing that seperates this show from most typical sci-fi series is that there is a lot of focus on the characters. The way they interact with each other as well as handling their respective vices is so in depth. Since Babylon 5 ended there hasnt been a sci-fi show that gets this detailed.

By the way, I didnt think I was really a trekkie til I read this thread and realized I knew exactly what you guys were talking about.

lol seems like this thread should now become: getting in touch with your trekkie-side. heh.

Yah I agree the realism in the new Battlestar Galactica kicks ass! Especially with the softness of sound in space, and the constant zoom-in shots. Just watching the episode today felt more like a movie than a TV show!!
