I wanna play Halo 2 for PC sooooooooooooooooooooooo bad, but I only have XP, and I'm afraid that if I install vista, my PC will run like - blam! -, so can anyone tell me if my PC will run Halo 2 and Vista?

PC Specs:

Processor: AMD Sempron(tm) Processor 3200+, MMX, 3DNow, ~1.8GHz. (recent test showed that my CPU's clocked performance is 3.20 GHz)
Memory: 1.75GB RAM
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE,~256MB, Pixel Shader 3.0

Your video card needs some work but you should be able to run vista no problem.

You might want to get a dual core CPU - but your current one works. For a graphics card, something along the lines of a GeForce 7600GT or 8600GT should be perfect. But that is only for Halo 2. Consider other games with your graphics card selection.

I GOT PEOPLE ON MY SIDE

I used to have your video card and my proccessor was a 3600+. My halo 2 pc would not even run with everything on low. And my computer crashed. Get you graphics card updated. I recommend to get a NVIDIA Geforce 8400GS for about $60 and maybe an Extra Ram stick, but be sure you know where to put it

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

IMO, buying Vista just to play Halo 2 is a big big big mistake, especially now that Vista appears to be MIllenium Edition 2.

Vista isn't as bad as people make it. I would never go back to xp with my machine.

thanks all, I'll probably get Halo 2 for Vista and Vista sooner or later, and BTW, I can run Gears of War for PC on lowest graphics settings with NO lag whatsoever.

I'd get more memory, and a better graphics card, just make sure the graphics card is discreete so it doesn't use system memory to run.

I'm sorry, but you are incorrect. Vista can play any game that XP can plus those meant for Vista.

Here you will need this to help you get your foot out of the back of your throat, looks llike its in there pretty deep. And what is that on your face? Egg?! *hands Kim a washcloth*

Vista should actually be faster on a decent system for non gaming use and video drivers have gotten to the point where it doesnt even matter if you are using vista because it's like 35 vs 32 fps. or 150 vs 140 fps, who cares.

Long live the Last Refuge!

so guess what Vista is the better gaming OS.
