A weapon that launches an electrically charged dart. The dart surges electricity through the target, disabling any energy shields and inflicting debilitating damage to any unshielded target. The dart should also be magnetic, capable of sticking to vehicles. Multiple darts should provide sufficient charge to at least partially disable a vehicle's systems.

I just played Hitman, too, so I think the MC should be able to sneak up behind an elite and strangle him with fiber wire. Rating: Silent Assassin.

Hmm... the unnamed dart weapon is very similar to my "Skewer" gun.

That could work well, probably a bolt instead of a dart, trailing some wires to a backpack style contraption that provides the necessary power to overload a vehicle?

I will like the to be able to wield the jackals shield with the energy sword. I am not sure how it would be used or its attributes but it"s a thought.

I'd love to see the Jackal Shield make it into the MP. It would greatly empower the plasma weaponry since human weaponry has no effect on it. It would also be a great equalize against the shotgun in close quarters combat.

I'd also like to be able to press the left trigger and be able to raise it. Like that you could charge right at your enemies and nothing short of a rocket would be able to stop you from closing. It's the perfect stormtroopers device.

A fifteen foot tall mech with three different weapons sets. Just press the Y button to change each set. Set one is the short range set. It has two shoulder mounted rocket launcher that do not track enemy vehicles, and two arm mounted semi-automatic grenade launchers (grenades explode on contact). Set 2 is the long range set. Two shoulder mounted sniper rifles fire six rounds apiece. The arm mounted guns are like the autocannons from Mechassault. This set is capable of zooming in on an enemy targets. The third and final set is the overall combination set. It is good at any range. It has two missile packs (kinda like mechassault) that rest on its shoulders. The missiles that are fired can hit targets from any range, and are about nine inches long. The missiles are also extremely weak, but are fired in large amounts. The arm mounted weapons are miniguns that will overheat when continuously fired. To balance this weapon/vehicle, you could destroy weapons and parts of it, like a chaingun, or a leg. It would also be very slow, and easy to flank. If a Covenant soldier got in a lucky shot, he could disable the entire suit, forcing the pilot to get out, and there would be a reloading period every minute or so, depending on how much you fired the weapons. The mech would only be used to protect certain people, like the Brass at ONI and UNSC Highcom. Well, thats all I could come up with now.

I put out a thread when I first got on this forum talking about teh UNSC making a power suit to be used for speacial missions and covert ops. Of coarse any talk of addign something remotly like a mecha will get your ass hammered by hardcore Halo fanboys. The power suit I though wouls be cool was something similar in size and look to the power suit seen in The Animatrix feature "The Second Rennaisance 2", where the human forces use a power suit that is only aobut 2 stories high and uses conventional weapons to try and help the humans win the battle against the machine.

This idea didnt fly, but I like that someone else thought of it.

My favorite power suit is the Mjolnir Mark VI. There's nothing covert in a mecha. In genaeral there's nothing good to the mecha idea, a large powered armour like that makes you a perfect target, it is weak in the legs, often has thinner armour all around and suffers high maintenance difficulties.

A tank design is lower to the ground and makes a smaller target, would move faster and be able to carry just as much in armaments.

Should the mecha be prove as fully mobile as the human body then, and only then, would I see see the usefulness in it. Then you could crouch, go prone, hide behind buildings and hills. Cuurently, the only place a mecha would prove more useful is amidst a devastated city where not even a treaded tank can get over the mounds of rubble but in that case a mecha is just as likely to trip and fall on it's arse.

True. But all I had in mind when I thought the mech up was defense. They would only be used to defend specific people or buildings, not go on the offensive and go to the enemy.

the MA2B from fall of reach, not as strong as the MA5B but can attatch a silancer for stealty kills (i'm surprized no-one has already mentioned this)
and the magnum pistol from first strike, shorter range, lower accuracy, bigger punch. like a lower class shotgun i guess

A sinper rifle with no contrails to give away your position and a larger clip size as someone ells saids i dont care if it is unbalanced its war

---Cannon, the simple truth is that unless you're mech is in the 100+ tonnage range conventional vehicles can do the job much better. You could make a dozen tanks for every complex mecha and then direct them all to aim for the mecha's right knee.

For defense I'd recommend larger armoured turrets, possibly on tracks or wheeled so that they can run along the walltops in addition to the ground forces.

---Zamamee, I really like the idea of the silenced rifle. Unfortunately, if it's weaker then the MA5B then you're screwed once you go up again a shielded Elite. Check out my Skewer from earlier in the thread and combine it with the weapon from First Strike that you mentioned. Now... that's a hot combination.

---Spartan Code 058, what you wish is impossible. The Fin Stabilized Discarding Sabot Round accelerates a carbon fibre tube to a whopping Mach 9. It can neither be silenced or have it's contrail removed. You have a sonic boom and super heated air condensing. The military is working on a mach 10 bomber and right now it can fly... but it burns up in the atmosphere. It's not war, it's physics. What would be nice would be to visiually see the first stage of the round exploding to empower the second stage of the projectile's flight.

New grenade types would be really nice. I'm thinking you swap what you have selected for what's on the ground the same way you swap weapons. It would also be neat to have volatile grenades; Hold X while pulling the left trigger to drop a grenade without activating it. Afterward, use a sniper rifle's superheated second stage to trigger it... I keep hearing people wanting remote bombs, and this is probably the only way to have them and have it still feel like Halo. Volatile grenades would fit in well with the exploding vehicles and vent cores.
What new grenade types would you like? I would like the option to use grenades that explode as soon as they hit anything. EMP grenades that do something like what an overcharge blast does, but with a wide field of effect would be cool. Another option might be sensory overload grenades. I don't think the above mentioned noisemakers would go too well in multiplayer, but brightly glowing ones might. Just outta curiosity, why do conkers emit a bright yellow glow and lots of smoke before they explode?

a spartan multi cloning gun makes um strong as the hunters sheilds then a DTTC (DIMENSION TELEPORTOR TOTURE CHAMBER) the enemy invincible then teleports em to a indefinite dimension that features extremely painfull torturing mechanisms good for given an eliet whom has killed a whole bunch of marines what he deserves

I am thining about the MX-3, (that was it right) and how you could shoot an enemy with it, and then pull them quickly to your side while performing a cool move that kicks them off the skewer.

Rosario, how about instead it's a radioactive dye that a Spartan's HUD can pick up through objects? That would be cool.

I do like the ability to drop live grenades. The plantable charges I don't mind so much provided there's an audible and visible cue to them, like a beeping that you can hear once you're close enough and perhaps a blinking red light. That way, you can tell if your warthog has a charge on it if you approach it calmly but in the middle of a firefight it's a whole other story.

The other weapon I would like to see, but it really isnt a weapon as its more of a person who is a weapon. This new character(s) would be an ONI agent or troop. A chrarcter we havent seen before, they have more specialized skils than that of the ODSTs. They were put into affect after the fall of Reach, which to the knowledge of ONI thought that all Spartans are K.I.A. In the cases that Colonel Ackerson didnt have his "new" project ready, ONI started to train there own specialized troops. They are the only human personel that use pirated Covenant stealth technology, and are specially equiped with different weapons than that of regular personel. There primary weapon is a modified version of the newly created Battle Rifle, but it fires a slighty larger round that is used in the battle rifle and uses an explosive armor piercing tip that was developed specifically for use on Covenant shields and armor. The sidearm that they use is a modified version of the M6D pistol that was originally issued to UNSC peronel, but due to the itroduction of the BR, this firearm has been replaced with a more conventional sidearm. This alternate version has been modified to hold a larger capacity, and is able to switch from singel shot burst to three shot burst similar to the ancient Glock 22C model pistol.

Only as few infantrymen have ever seen them in plain sight, which can be contributed to extreme fighting conditions were they were called in to assist in overrun battles. Since they posses skills higher than that of any UNSC personel, they are called in for only high risk, or technical missions that cant be preformed by the regular infantrymen.

In the actaul game, you would fight along side these special troops in the game, but in only small groups of three or two. If one of these troops were to possibly be killed or wounded, then they would either offer there weapon, or there still living comrade would offer his fallen partners firearm to you. These guns would be extremely effective compared to the standard issue battle rifle.

Lotus Anti-Tank Mine. This is from The Fall of Reach and First Strike. In First Strike, the Master Chief talks about how the mine has little spikes around the edge of the mine for keeping the mine stabilized in the ground. What he does, is throws the mine into an arch, and detonates it. I think that would be cool. Like playing 16 Player CTf. and set booby traps. So if you are overrun, you havesome mines stuck into the wall, so when enemies come through a door, you could detonate it. You could also set the mine( you would do this by pressing the right thumbstick(to change modes) and to change timing or w/e you would press B). Like you could make it timed, then set the timer. Or you could have it be remote detonated, or have it motion sensable, or have it so someone steps on it and it explodes. That'd be sick. A warthog driving by, set the mine for remote, toss it on the 'hog (you could toss it by pressing right trigger, the longer you hold it, the farther it goes) watch the hog drive away with a mine on it, get out your ddetonater, and say to your friend, "Whos the biatch now??" hehe

Hold on... you can hold a Lotus in one hand? You can throw one? These things are "anti-tank"? How can these things take out tanks when even the shaped charge of a rocket which is twice the size cannot blow up a tank in a single shot?

Lotus Anti-Tank Mine: A Lotus Mine is about a foot and a half in diameter (its a disc) It has spikes around the sides for stabilization. Also, if you've read the book, it's not exactly like the game. Rockets in the book usually take out a tank in one or two shots. It's all different. I'm just saying, it'd be a cool weapon. Fine, Lotus Anti- personnel Mine Happy? lol
