I get more ass than a toilet seat.

Do you believe that their should be a symbol next to the post if a forum ninja posts? It could be a silver spetagon for instance.

  • 02.23.2008 7:17 AM PDT

The only quarrel I'd have with that would be that some of them post a lot in threads that they aren't necessarily looking to make a point in. For example, if Recon likes posting in the Flood, several topics would have markers on them, which might get a tad annoying.

It's an interesting idea, though.

This has been asked before. I believe Recon said ninjas post too many times for it to be practical. Almost every thread would be a silver septagon.

Employees get a golden septagon because their posts are a rare event, although JonnyOThan seems determined to change that. He posts all the time.

Yeah, Ninjas post to much for it to work right. Besides, if people knew a ninja posted in a thread, they would just skip through the thread and find the ninja's post. That's what most people do for Admins.
Also, ninjas can't give away their position. They're swift ninjas, silly.

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

Their expertise, in terms of relevant information to a threads topic, is rarely greater than that of a normal member's, so there's no need to advertise their posts.

Sure, they seem to know more, but that's simply common sense.

Well what would you say to an icon that represents what the answer is? Ex. A hammer for technical support.

I blame Stosh for the lack of symbols.

Anyway, back on topic: My idea is that when you click the golden 7th column by a thread title, it should show you all posts made by Bungie employees and or ninjas in that thread in a list.

No. Ninjas are, first and foremost, normal members like us. Anything they say in an official capacity will likely be copied + pasted directly from the rules. There's no need to give their posts the same treatment bungie employees' get. Just think for a while why bungie employees stopped posting here - their posts are all seen as "official" and are torn to bits and made to say things they were never meant to say. People end up seeing the post before the person, and that's just wrong.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

No. Actually, hell no. They are members just like us; just with clean up duty. What they say should be taken with a grain of salt when it comes to something other then when they lock a thread, blacklisting someone, or even warning someone; basically when they post to enjoy themselves. Just like us normal users that throw the trash everywhere for them to clean up; what we say should also be taken with a grain of salt. The only people that should actually be payed attention to if anyone, as in what they post and the content of their posts, is the web team and other Bungie Employees; excluding Frankie of course since he's just a plain old jokester.

Basically, they are normal users; just with clean up duty. If they have a hearsay in a topic, so be it, it doesn't mean it is anything official. I just don't think that them posting to enjoy themselves should allow for more attention to them. It's already bad as it is; why encourage it?

I throw ideas out there when I think of them. I don't disagree or agree with them.
