Just be a helpful, constructive member of the community without any warnings or bans. Also, who cares? It's just a title...

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

What if that ship's already sailed? I'm not asking for me, my friend who's had numerous conquests in the Niagra Falls area wants to know.

Well Enough Alone...

Basicly, be here a long time and don't get any bans or warnings. Also, it helps slightly to be active and helpfull and stuff, but as far as I can tell, the number of posts isnt a big influence, since I've seen legendary members with less then 1000 posts. I have 999 posts since a few months before halo 3 came out (exactly 8/21/2007) and I've been here since 12/27/2006
so I have anywere from 2000 to 3000 or more posts. I'm pathetic.

The importance of member titles is to let other people know exactly what kind of forum goer you are. It might also help in an interview with Bungie if they know you are a mythic or legendary member, as they will already know your devotion, lyalty, trustworthyness, etc.

"Peace, gentlemen...
Peace is the ultimate goal of the Traxus Project.
Peace not in our time but in the future.
Future generations will benefit from the work begun here today.
Gentlemen, I give you the Traxus Project"

oh... I don't know what mine is exactly...
In all the time I've been here, I've had one warning and 206 posts total.
The strange thing is, though, I could swear I've been here, since some time before 2006...
Maybe I'm wrong though, maybe I'm thinking of HBO instead.
Yeah I guess that could make sense. That would've been most of the time I spent during Halo2.
I just know I've generally known Bungie since Marathon.

Damn, I haven't changed this in like 4 years...

I have no idea why i'm Legendary. I'm just... Legendary.

There isn't that much importance to them. It's just a name. It probably won't help in an interview either. If anyone can get the status, it's not going to be as distinguishing as if you were to make yourself heard with tactfulness and receive recognition that way.

Loose talk is noose talk.

I have been here since Halo 3's release, though I am not even a Heroic member yet. Not whining, just telling it to the people.

didn't work for me :'( :'(

I have been a member here since just after Halo 2 was released. I am guessing that is why I am legendary.

To be legendary first you send bungie a picure of yourself along with $777. Next ask them for recon but make sure you say "I can has recon". These are just the first two steps out of seven which are required to reach legendary member status.

Anyone know the criteria for becoming a Legendary Member in BNet?
I.. I'm not sure, all that I remember is that it involves the sacrifice of a virgin.

I also hear you have to be one darn sexy son-of-a-gun to achieve this title.
