Subject: R.I.P. seargent Johnson?

I always offer fair game and usually allow some "extermination" of my teammates. I think that anyone should be able to play Halo or any other game they please.

How come he is in the first few levels, but he dies in each level? How does he keep coming to life?

He isn't the only one getting resurrected. Several marines make a return after you personally witness their demise in a level. The technical reason is there's only so much room to fit a unique marine on a disc each with their own combat dialogs. It seems really silly but what would you rather have? A recycled marine like Johnson resurrecting every now and then or an invincible marine in Halo 2 that never EVER dies? There's just no good answer to this IMO.

You'd probably shoot back if i wasn't T-bagging your dead body.

Sgt. johnson has scripted death in CE (You can see it if you beat on legendary) and he comes back anyway

A More Complete Compendium of a Bungie History
-Thanatos 117

Sergeant Johnson wasn't originally intended to be a major character of the Halo story until the Fall of Reach was written where Sergeant Johnson was first introduced as a character. Sergeant Johnson was then introduced as a major character in the first Halo 2 E3 demo where we see him accompany the Chief in New Mombasa. Questions quickly rose why Bungie brought him back and how he survived Halo's destruction, which is explained in Halo: First Strike, and it carried on from there.

The scripted death of Johnson on Legendary was an egg, not canon for the war.

Halo isn't an RPG like KoTOR. The Marines are the Marines, and they're with you at nearly all times on Halo.

Jhonson has this thing, in a book, where he threw a whole box of plasma grenades. then radition mutated him so he could regenerate, and couldn't turn into a flood. in h3 there is a egg/glitch to turn ihim intoa flood, but that's only an egg/ glitch.

also, in h2 the guy ask at beginning "so jhonshon, when you gonna ever tell me how u made it of halo in 1 piece" "sorry guns, that classified" "MY ARSE! WELL YOU CAN FORGOT THE IMPROVEMENT TO YOUR...." and that is said in the begging of h2. i don't have any clue of how he regenerted, THEN got BACK to earth, mabey he hijaced a covenant vehicle( remember the covenant were gathred around destyed halo#1 in high charity, and heratics have bases on it)

A2 SCOPE.

And didn't he and a few marines find a longsword or something?

Read First Strike.
Johnson escaped in a pelican with 3 other soldiers, a luitenent, and 2 privates i think. one is a pilot the other is a marine (i think) and they come together with Master Cheif, highjack a Covenant Capital Ship, then go to Reach, find other Spartans, and importan figures. Then the Spartans do their thing, and Sarge gets sent back to earth with the Spartans (i think 6 or 7 living still) and the luitenent(i think) and the Vice Admiral die to kill a whole lot of Covenant, described by John, S-II, 117, as the deadliest thing he had ever seen next to Halo Instalation 04..

In a very small nutshell, thats what happens..

I would rather heave a marine that can't turn into a flood and doesn't die

The illness also kills the flood if they touch him

Some kind of easter egg, I assume. [edit] Somewhere it's described in First Strike, apparently. [/edit]

If we're talking Halo CE here, I've tried shoving him off a tall precipice, running him over with a Warthog and just plain shooting him, and yet oddly enough he still shows up in Halos 2 and 3 :/
