Hello :)

1. Download Firefox if you don’t already have it. (Download here)
(Allot people already have Firefox so don’t worry about this step if you do. The reason for downloading Firefox is that you will be able to download Add-ons, you have to download it)

2. Now download the add-on called “Text to image.”(Download here)
(Read the description on the page to learn more about it.)

3. Restart Firefox.

4. Go to Tools > Add-ons > Text to Image and make sure it’s says “Disable” (that means it’s enabled.)

5. Above where your clock should be there is a little icon, make sure that the icon is green.
(To turn it off or on just click on it. If it’s red it shows a link instead of an image, if it’s green I shows the image.)

What this does is it shows an image instead of a link to Imageshack or Photobucket etc. It will not show an image for links to the Bungie screenshot viewer, however, so this will solve half of your complaints.

So this allows you to see an image of a link, not post images? Have I understood correctly?

It's a neat little gadget, but nothing that would persuade me to use Firefox.

So basically it will show you what the person's linking to. Hmm this would help in the flood but that's about it.

Wow, that's cool.

I do wish I could click something to make it go back to text though...Also, the images seem to get cut off due to the forums.

No, of course not. If someone posts a link of a picture you will be able to see the image without clicking the link. I just thought it was the closest thing to what people want around here.

Persuade you to use Firefox? Are you using IE 7? Most people use that so it quickly becomes insecure. Besides, Firefox has way more options such as themes and add-ons. Now this is not the purpose of this thread so just read and ignore.

I have to right-click on the image and select to turn it back to text...it's also rather annoying to do that to EVERY image.

Also, THANK GOD Achronos won't allow to post images. It's looks TERRIBLE.

Right-click the image and select "Change image to original text or link." To change back Right-click and select "Convert link into image thumbnail."

Oh my can you just imagine all the "real" facepalms instead of just the ASCII Art ones. That's the least of it.

I use IE7 because it is easier to use than Firefox or Opera, more aesthetically pleasing and has features like spell checking and saving flash videos from youtube, etc.

However you make a good point about security. I might go back to Opera. Firefox just annoys me...
