Personally, I do like the Mark VI armor because it addresses the weaknesses of the earlier models. The energy shielding system recharges significantly faster and is notably stronger. The armor, while less bulky, is denser, so it offers as much protection and more than the previous models. This version of the armor can now track the status of two active weapons at the same time. The armor also includes the visual magnification system. Other then the improvements, I just like the way it looks. The way Bungie designed the form, and specifically the helmet, I think, displays a warrior who has seen many battles and is a formitable foe.

You said "The way Bungie designed the form...displays a warrior who has seen many battles..." might be correct, but,I think Bungie wasn't able to give the armour lots of detail since it was on an inferior engine.Plus I like the old armour because of it's bulkyness which seems cooler and to me is more intimidating. Also I favor the older armour only when not considering it's gameplay setbacks, but this poll was about visual appearence,so I voted older armour.

Just to mention... the Halo 3 armor has triangles on the gloves, unlike Halo 2's squares. The Halo 2 armor is sweet. The Halo 3 armor, I'm not so impressed.

As for the original MJOLNIR... it looks alright. It started the game and seems like the mediocre new armor used by a fresh Viking.

h2-h3 amour is best. faster recharge shields, and there stronger. and, mc HAS HEALTH BARS, there just invisible/not displayed. if he didn't have health bars, as soon as his shield went down he woudl instantly die, plus he can take a certian amout of fire with his shields down before dying.

h1, amour, just counting the look, well if they took the same amour, didn't put squraes or tringales or naything, and just redid it in h3 graphics...that'd be awsome. and could u imagine if they could remake it in crysis graphics ‽ wondering what that sybol is? that's the interrobang, a combo of the exclmation and question mark. it was invented, but never became popular.

If you're talking model geometry, everything's made up of triangles :p

Imo i think CE armor looks far better. I dunno, but theres just something about the MK V helmet that seems way better then all the others. When i play Halo 3, i have to admire bungie for bringing back my favorite helmet to the multiplayer.

Sorry to be off topic, but I've been away for a while. What is with these different member levels, and how do you change them? Back to the topic now, I also prefer the Mark V. It's so much bulkier and forceful looking.

anyone know how to change my username? If it's possible please send me a message.

Well in Halo he uses the Mark V. IN halo 2 it's upgraded to the Mark VI. I think the Mark V makes him look uglier yet tougher because the Mark V looks bigger, the Mark VI looks smaller and weaker. I prefer the Mark VI but if they wanted a tough looking chief i'd go with the Mark V.

The Mark VI definitely looks cooler in my opinion and is superior to the Mark V story wise.

  • 03.02.2008 6:51 AM PDT

I always offer fair game and usually allow some "extermination" of my teammates. I think that anyone should be able to play Halo or any other game they please.

The first armor looks so dumb! I couldn't wait un til the other armors came out.

I have to agree here. I just think the Mark V is better performance-wise. It may not have the zoom acapability or kilometre-possible jumping, but it actually stopped a few bullets, rather than getting killed a second after your shields were gone. It wasn't a "shields or dead" model.

Again none are saying why the Mark VI is better story-wise.Plus this is a poll about looks, not gameplay or performance.

  • 03.10.2008 4:41 PM PDT

The graphics are what make it look better in Halo 3, over halo 1.

That's not much of a story...

mk five. its threatening, thicker then in h2, and the helmet is just awesome. somehow, when they put lines on his visor in h2, he didnt look remotely intimidating anymore.

  • 03.28.2008 9:46 PM PDT

Halo 2 armor looks cooler. But Halo 3 HUD looks cooler than Halo 2's
