I am sure we have all ran into a game, at least one, where there is this character who gets a kill on you with ease and you can't even get the guy's shields down because he has the intellect of a fox and the moves of a cat.

Who do you think, from personal experience or knowledge, is one of the best shooters in Halo PC? Can be someone you saw in a game and was incredibly stunned, or someone who heard or know a lot about.

I would have to say that WerD (plays for F1, formerly known as Rival) is the best player I've seen. He is especially good at 1 vs 1 slayer, but he's also a good all around player. He's amazing with the pistol and sniper. He can snipe warthog or ghost drivers in the head, which is crazy given the lag on HaloPC.

Here's some screenshots. He regularly changes his name for pub games because all the noobs think he hacks. Here he is as D@rkm@n, XcptionData, LosingSucks (his latest name), AK-Killa, and |||||||.
16 players, Wizard, Kill-in-order with no nav points
TWL clan match, team slayer
Another 16 man Kill-in-order, no nav points. I think the map was Wizard.
Gearbox's server, he had a bad ping and joined late.
Team slayer, I don't know which map.

Those are insane kill/death ratios. On the first one (xceptionbaby.jpg) he went for 90 straight kills before his first death. He can pwn the crap out of normal players, but even when you put him in a room full of top-tier players, he still always comes out on top.

And before anyone asks, no he doesn't cheat. I've known him for a while and talk to him regularly on AIM. He's just that good, and he knows strategies for every level that allow him to control the map. I'm a pretty decent player, but when I played him 1 vs 1, I lost 25-0 for 5 straight games. It's not just his shooting skills, either. I was constantly being outsmarted and herded into a position where I was at a disadvantage.

chumpp (also from F1/Rival) and LD-BeasT are also top level players, but I've never played with them personally.

P.S., here's WerD (Killa) and chumpp (Lucas) in a 2 vs 2 Team Slayer match. Sick.

I would love to meet this guy. Me and my friends have not had a real challenge on Halo PC in months.

Those ARE DEFINITELY some sick ratios.

I am well interested in hearing of any other godly, or just amazing, Halo PC players anyone knows of.

Yeah, he has a bit of an ego sometimes, but he can back it up in the game. Some dude (kujax I think) was talking smack about WerD because he was #1 on the some 1 vs 1 ladder. Rival|Werd joined the ladder just to shut him up. kujax was losing 10-1 on Hang 'em High when he gave up and quit.

You want to hear something really sick? He only started playing HaloPC in December, I think, and he first played the Xbox version only last Summer.

That is definitely something.

I would love to know his average hours on playing a game of Halo PC; and by average, I am talking a daily based average.

With enough pratice, what you say is quite possible. I seen someone go from the complete "newbie" stage to a natural twenty killing machine in just a matter of days on Halo PC.

He plays a couple hours a day. Not the 5-6 hours/day you might expect. When he started playing Xbox Halo, he played with chumpp (one of the top Xbox and PC players) all last Summer. When you play with good people, you improve a lot faster. Plus it helps to have someone show you all the tricks, teach you map strats, and other gameplay tactics.

Like I said, what makes him good is not just reflexes and shooting skill. But knowing how to dominate the map is a lot of it. Heck, I've improved a ton just from talking to him on IM and playing him that one time. I learned a lot, plus it kind of inspired me to take my playing to the next level. :-)

He says his secret is he always plays drunk. O_o

Well, even if I do not know this character, I have improved upon what I am just from seeing his deaths.

That told me a lot of stragety. Maybe strange, but it is true.

I know he does not run straight in like a lot of folks do. I know he uses what rocks, trees, and whatever Bungie and Gearbox planted into the maps strategically, and I bet he is pratically an artist with just about every weapon on the field.

Oh, I would not be making this post at this time if I did not have a networking game in one of the greatest games I have played so far on Halo PC.

The best player I've met is Rudy. If you are in his game, you will lose. He is great with all weapons, knows the maps and their teleporters, and has great aim. He is really fast to spot you if you are nearby, and knows how to get the lead on his target so he'll always hit them.
You don't want to be in an RL game against him.

Anyone else meet him before?

Lol. Sounds fun.

I'd like to meet him, and play him in a little game of Rockets.
