In the fall or reach John notices that some things fall slower than they should and things move "as if in water" i believe that it was kelly that dubbed it "Spartan Time" and i was wondering if it would be incorporated in Halo 2

I believe they see in faster frame rates than us so things go slowly for them, but to incorporate this into halo 2 would definitely take the action out of the game cause then everything would have to be going slow and to make it a powerup or something just wouldn't work cause they're supposed to see things slower all the time.

ya i thought about that too but i also thought of how the MC could do short sprints of 50mph but i guess they cant really put that into a game or i would take away from the action. course it would be useful when a banshee is comin after you

Good points it would turn it into a Enter the Martix type game (uncontroalbe shutters)

this is in reply to skseifer. They don't see slow all the time. If you read the books it says only when they are nervous or they're adrenaline is flowing. I guess since they're fighting alot they kinda do see slow all the time. lol. I do hope that Spartan time is in Halo 2 in certain parts of the game as in a certain part you have to beat with spartan time and it won't happen all the time.

I definitely wouldn't want that in the game. You'd be in the middle of a fight and all of a sudden everything just slows down. You know what I would think if that happened? I would think that my XBox went retardo on me.

It might be sweet if they used spartan time in a cutscene or something, but during game play it would detract greatly from the game. Then again if Bungie choose to do so I'd have to imagine it would be immensely better then anything we've seen thus far.

I don't think Spartan Time was meant as you all think. The MC moves as fast as your fingers move in Halo. Isn't that kinda like Spartan Time? You have increased response time in the game, because you aren't moving your entire body. You're basically as fast as your fingers, and that's Spartan Time.
