Subject: Should bungie do something about the Tking on Halo pc?

Mods on power trips crack me up.

Why cant bungie admit they got Halo PC very badly wrong and left it to rot?

Hi, Mr B. I'm aware of what Punj Yen Wa does on the Bungie servers. Now...reading the forum rules correctly, you're not allowed to register polls/petitions of any sort. If anything, defying the rules would do nothing in your favour. Not only does it anger, but why should your suggestions be accepted if you continue to abuse the rulings?

Granted, Punj Yen Wa does spoil the games, but there are other options to consider. Why not try out Halo: CE? There's new custom maps out there for you to enjoy a new experience, as well as superior ping time on Halo: CE.

Despite these "petitions", I wouldn't expect action such as allowing players to become admins. Not only is there a huge issue with trust, but the company's reputation is at stake. Wait for the next patch, and at least expect some moderate changes to help with your concerns.

your bartman arent you? ive seen you on halo who pretends not to be upset by punj yen wa and then 5 mins later you come here to the forums and whinge all about it. you must have like 10 posts now of moaning about tkers. more tkers are growing every week now on the bungie servers so NEWS FOR YOU, if you dont like it, GO TO ANOTHER SERVER! theres like 100s of them. just suck it up, leave and enjoy it somewhere else where theres admins. i had problems with him to, i left and went to another server and now hes history! i normally only read the forums but GAWD i just had to sign up and say something about this because its went on to long. just go somewhere else and enjoy the hundrerds of servers! theres even great modded servers now. peace man

I agree that other servers are on obvious option, but I do acknowledge the principal of the situation with Mr.B. Not wanting to submit to Punj Yen Wa...But, Mr.B, how about getting your own server with full admin rights? That way you're free ro enjoy the experience. You're not the only one who feels this way; I'm sure you could gather a group from which everyone could contribute to paying the costs. Myself being one of them.

It's not much to ask, but I think you're posting in the wrong place here if you want attention. Although it shouldn't be the wrong place, it's obvious the core of Bungie somewhat neglect their own forums, not to mention their wage-paying customers.

I've heard messages going around of a Microsoft head honcho responsible for Bungie server customer satisfaction. I highly doubt, however, that this is his only task. No doubt, the majority of the complaints would have came from a young age group that would make him think it's a joke or some form or another of deception. It is a shame considering how out of hand the situation has became.

I will be on Halo later, Mr.B. So if you ever fancy a game I'll be on the EU Bungie CTF'S with the name Ioalus. Take care.

You mean getting a server? Yeah, I wouldn't dismiss it so quickly. I'll be around checking the forums from time to time if you ever want to discuss it.

Just out of curiosity though, how old are you? Or if you'd rather not say, that's fine.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this thread... well spoken Mr.B. It's nice to see decent quality, grown up discussion on here.

Now, I totally agree with you. It seems only fair that there be some kind of fix for this, be it admins or coding. I have never encountered the problems you mention with the Bungie servers, but that's only because I don't use them. Saying that though, as you would expect, I have encountered team killing... and I don't like it.

Yes... Something should be done!

Heyyo,

I've seen some great anti-tking code out there in games. One of my favs is for the UT2k4 mod: Airbucaneers. After a few tks, you get thrown into jail where you can't do anything! :)

Another cool one was for that PlanetSiege. What happens after a few tks, your weapons stop working, even if an enemy's attacking you. ;)

Odds of bungie doing anything? zilch.. I wish they would too, but I don't think they care aboot PC and Mac users at all anymore.

Haha I don't care when people TK in a game. Most of the time it's for a reason. One time I was playing when some bozo decided to stop in the middle of the entrance to the blue base's roof while a wart hog was chasing a teammate of mine and I. The guy in front of me who was trying to get in just wacked our team member ( who was blocking the entrance) and ran up there so that we wouldn't get squished. I never TK on purpose, on purpose. Sometimes people respawn in front of your wart hog and then you can't really help it.

there should be a limit to the number of tk's someone can get in a match, and once they reach it there should be a vote that asks the teamates if so and so should be kicked. cs uses something like this.

what a monkey

I think it's little tiny baby kids of say five & under perhaps ,or it could be tiny little space aliens that have problems with our earth coustoms?

But to be serious it's a pain in the ass ,I just jump ship & find a new game now 1.6 is working fine, there are a lot of games out there now find a good one & stick with it ................Halo is a great fun game even if you get killed 5 times in a row which I think you did to someone a few days back????

Have fun people

I`d have to say Yes and No...sometimes you can TK out of sheer bad luck...some dude tossed a nade right under my hog once and i made 5 streight TK`s though i died in the blast and the hog took out 5 of my team-mates...laughed like a dumb-blam!- but then got pissed because i got banned

The UT option would be superb but when you take into consideration the fact that M$ and Bungie could care less and that Gearbox kinda gave up on us cause we gave up on Halo CE there realy isn`t anything to do exept stop TKing for our own good and fun...as for Halo 2,maybe it will come out on PC once but M$ still be milkin the cow so keep waiting along with me old chaps, either that or let`s just get into Court with this :P nothing much else we can do...or how about bombthreat? :P

U kno that tk-ers r extremly annoying....but even tho they can b annoying i am tired of all of the real cheaters out there(auto-aim,etc.)
i am tired of pplusing auto-aim with rocket launchers and putting infinite ammo on it(they cant b beat!)

MY POINT:dont worry about annoying ppl....worry about cheaters!

Hi ho, I'm new around here and haven't played much Halo on-line, so I'm not 100% sure about this, but wouldn't turning off friendly-fire in team games solve the problem? Or is it something that needs to be set from the server side of things?

Either that or get a team together, invite this Punj guy, then every time he turns around someone's parking a bullet or plasma bolt between his eyes.

Off topic...

I got sick of playing on line for this and the cheaters- they started showing up in Doom and just kept coming. Seen cheaters in Diablo, Quake II & III, Draken, UT, etc. and it just gets old way fast. If you play single player missions, cheat your brains out, but on-line is just letting everyone know that player(s) is a total loser. I think this is why I don't play MMORPGs, either- I got sick of twerps wandering around repeating "PvP!?!" over and over and over. "Sure, I'll take my level 5 guy up against your 90th level death mage knight uber god. Sounds like fun!"

Peace,
Mark
