I just said that becouse Olympic Tae Kwon Do teaches nothing about an actual fight, and the other styles focus much less on how cool you look. Tell me, did you take the Olympic version or the practical self-defence version.
I practice the Moo Goong Hwa style of Tae Kwon Do. We learn some very powerful self defense techniques, and most every kick and punch we learn can effectively be applied to free fighting. If I ever did have to harm someone, I can confidently say that it wouldn't take much effort on my part, despit my relatively low belt ranking. (Orange Belt)
