I have a qustion about this Dual Wielding thing.

Say you had a BR for one weapon, and an SMG for the other, than you decide to pick up a needler to duel wield with the SMG. Do you lose the BR? Will you be able to carry three weapons now? How about 4? Something like 2X Plasma Pistols and 2XSMGs.

Has Bungie said anything about the limit of weapons you can carry?

Thanks!

ok so if you have an SMG and pick up a needler and have a BR for one hoslter slot you are now carrying 3 guns, when you holster your SMG and needler you take out your BR so now you still only fill two holster slots (i think this can be done with 4 1 handed weapons.)

Bungie will find a user freindly way to switch between guns.
The Logical amount of guns to carry at one time would be 4:
1 Hand = 2 Guns
2 Hands= 4 guns
But holding 4 types of guns at one time may seem unbalanced.

Shishka and Stosh have said that you can't have two dual wield slots. So it's a maximum of three weapons.

i think they might just make you drop your secondary dual gun when you holster, dunno but two sets of one-handed guns just doesnt seem right

Wow, go away for a minute....

Having 2 one handed weapons and one single hand weapon seems the most reasonable, as far as game balance goes. Man, its going to fun to figure out the most efficeint combos for the given situation.

I think 2 Plasma rifles and a BR. Plasma rifles to quickly burn shields and stun, switch to the BR for a burst to the noggin. Yeah.

Ok, this is how it works, You can have a maximum of 3 weapons, if you're dual wielding and you switch weapons, your second weapon will drop to the floor. To dual wield, hold Y over a weapon, to drop it, hit B or Y. For example: say you had a needler, and a SMG in reserve, then you pick up an SMG along with your needler. If you run out of needler ammo, simply press Y to drop the SMG and dual wield it again with X with your other SMG so you now have dual SMG's. See? not too hard.
