Learn the drums, play the drums, love the drums..., or play videogames?

i agree w/ you omninutt... and what's more is many of these other games had a better chance to sell before h2's release- instead of competing w/ h2's release. i don't have the bucks to go out and buy republic commando, or sw battlefront, or bc, or fable, or.... all in the same time frame. it would have been cool to have some (or one) of those high profile games to play during the frieking wait.

Look at it from the perspective of the publisher of a mediocre game. Most purchases of games are made in the holiday season for obvious reasons. If you've got any cruddy game, you wanna release it when it's most likely to be bought by someone who hasn't read the reviews. Kids have the most money to blow during the holiday season. If they release just before the holiday season, reviews will be in when we start shopping around for goodies with the money Grandma gave us for Christmas. If they release just after the holiday season, we won't be buying much since we'll be occupied with what we've just gotten. Also, most uninformed purchases made by clueless gift-givers are around that same time. Most purchases made by people who know what they're doing are probably a bit early, like in Autumn... perhaps November?
