Hi guys.
Someone is trying to hack (or crack) my account. I realized this at about 10 AM EST. I sent an email to my friend (in real life) Sword and Scales and told him about it. He posted this in my "Answers" thread and my "Member Title FAQ" thread. I replied with this:I'm not hacked yet (Thank God)...I need to call Xbox support.
Anyways, for some reason people have been assuming I have recon armor (which I don't...Sword knows). So someone send a msg to my MSN. I accepted. I assumed it was someone from the forums. Anyways, they said "Hi ____" (I'm not going to share my name on here). I said hi. We were having a conversation when they starting asking about Recon armor and how did I get it. I told them I don't have it, and I don't know how to get it. I told this person that someone killed himself with a cone, and another with his own sniper bullet. But I didn't know how to actually get it. They then asked how long my credit card number was....that's when i stopped.
I have since changed my password and will most likely change other things as well.
So if I ever start posting spam, it's not me.

That's basically my story. Just now though, I tried logging in and it said that I had tried too many times today trying to log in with my email address. I knew it was the hacker. It never takes me more than twice to log in (sometimes I miss a letter).
I'm going to call Xbox Support now, but I just wanted to let you guys know that if I start posting spam, it's not me.

P.S. I DON'T HAVE RECON ARMOR!!!Set an alternate email address for your Windows Live ID. Sign out and click forgot password. From there, enter the email address you think may be in the process of getting hacked. Select continue and then send an email confirmation to your alternate email address. If you do this, your account is safe because even if a hacker steals your account and changes your password, you would just go to that alternate email and click the password reset link to override his action of unauthorized access. I believe the link expires after three days so it is suggested to do it every other day if you wish to keep your account secure until the issue at hand is resolved or the hacker is caught.
