I don't know if this has been asked before, but in Halo 2, will there be police officers running around and helping fight the Covenant? In 2552, I don't think the UNSC is going to be taking care of every single problem that goes on. They won't make a squad of Helljumpers go bust a guy for not paying his parking ticket, or hitting his wife. So will there be police? Not for back up, just to be there to help evacuate citizens and take a few shots at the Covenant. What do you guys think?
XBL: FTG SpartanBut you were dead a thousand times. Hopeless encounters successfully won. A man long dead, grafted to machines your builders did not understand. You follow the path, fitting in to an infinite pattern.Yours to manipulate, to destroy and rebuild. Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time. I know who you are. You are Destiny.
Sounds like a cool idea to me and that brings up another thought, where were all the civilians and police during the E3 Demo? Did the covenant kill them before they landed?
I come from a family of police officers, and I sure would not want to get involved in any conflict with any army with inferior training and weapons. They're probably hiding in porta-potties
Police would be cool but that is not what I want to see. I want to see militia. Good old true home defense. Using outdated weapons or things that were just passed out at the time of the invasion *cough*MA5B*cough*.

No one could escape the Covenant on slot, though my might not see any, uoi can be sure that they would stand fast to defend Earth and her populace.

Did the covenant kill them before they landed? We've been fighting the Covenant for nearly thirty years. The people of New Mombasa probably have some sort of escape plan for a Covie attack like the one in the E3 demo. Maybe they escaped into some system of bunkers deep underground, where they would be safe from Covenant glassing.
there will probably be missions where you have to protect a civilian bunker or get them too a bunker. during the invasion all police would be conscripted into the UNSC amoung every available able man and woman. (come on think about it, its the end of the world)

(come on think about it, its the end of the world)please for the love of god people...stop saying that...you're going to make my ears bleed....but again zamamee is right and beats me to saying it...if you live in the US you should know about this....if our country gets attacked every man woman or whatever is expected to help defend at all costs....so why not have everyone able bodied defend earth?

The only way I would want an escort mission was if it was like on the T and R with Keyes. The one being escorted would have to have a gun.
what about in first strike where they escort Halsey? and remember halo 2 has some of first strikes events (watch the interview with peter parsons)
Well, I doubt the people of Earth would have a very detailed escape plan, because according to ONI propaganda we are winning the war. The civilians probably assume that the Covenant will never reach Earth or that if they do we will push them back.
there probably will be police they probably would have -blam!- pistols or something
what pistols
Pistol? on an elite
you guys are lost too easy and yes i agree with propaganda but when the invasion on earth started, conscriptions and last minuite cautions would be inevitable
When the MC arrived in New Mombassa, the Covenant were already there, meaning that either all non military people were killed, or were evacuated before the presence of the covenant.
I'd think it'dbe tight, imagine, the chaos as hundreds of civilians are evacutaed by Police. The chaos, it'd be scary, but very cool.
i had that but lost it could u hook me up with the link again, if u can please?i am talking about the pete parsons interview.[Edited on 6/15/2004 11:02:14 AM]
anyone?
I belive that there should be police and even civies defending the cities. I know if I had a gun and aliens landed in my backyard I wouldn't hesitate to shoot. lol. Anyhow, it would be cool.
Stupid fat americans and their guns...forgive my politically related flame type thingy..
