No, anyone who disagrees with you actually has an IQ above 25.

If you don't understand the premise of the word 'glitch' and 'cheating,' I don't expect you to succeed in life. It's a good thing you poor sac whacking nubtards haven't moved on to Halo 3. It's a better place without you.

You are the kind of newbie that Halo 3 is catering to, the main reason why it's such a failure. You don't like Halo 2 because you sucked at it. You never could BXR. Why didn't Bungie fix them? Because they liked them. Bungie has stated they're fair game, and not cheating in the least. Now crawl back into your hole, scum.

That my friend, is where YOU are wrong. Bungie clearly stated that button glitches are infact cheating and glitches. They were never intended to be in the game.

I do agree with you on that Halo 3 is leaned toward the newer players, but its something that you have to go along with(even though its really hard and annoying).

Cheating and glitches only apply to matchmaking and are fair in customs, the scope of this discussion.

it took you this long to say this!!!! if you start a discussion about something, make sure you iron out the details before you start a discussion. trust me, i read all of your posts and this is the first one saying whether it is in customs or in MM. you pretty much just started off saying button combos were awesome and you suck if you think otherwise.

I've noticed that button glitches are one of the things people use to bash Halo 2. Another thing I've noticed is that the people who say this are the people who never could pull them off correctly. Combos were something that separated the pros from the noobs. It wasn't whoever-shot-whoever-first-wins, like in Halo 3. You can still out-BR them with double shots, or use a BXR, BXB, or anything. It added much more intensity to the game.

Anybody who disagrees with me is obviously somebody who got beaten by them. If you could ever actually use them, or seen how they played, you would notice they were by far the best thing to happen to Halo.

Hopefully Bungie will add some in an auto-update to Halo 3, and fix it from being the noob-friendly scum it is. They've entirely removed everything that required skill in the game in favour for balance for new players.

SEE MY LAST POST! this is quoted to support my previous statement. you just said [in a kinda nice/mean way] what i said you did.

They add more depth to the game.

how? i never noticed this added "depth" when someone used BXR or something like that. it just looks like a glitch to me.

the OP is arguing his point poorly, and only a guy that has no games linked to his Bnet account that loves to flame [cuz hes a queen maybe?] has really backed him up. lots of his facts are off by various margins, and, well thats about it. srry bungie these people [and me too] have gone too far. i think this forum should be locked. this arguement is pointless anyways. the sad part is, it may never end.

First of all, you wait till three pages in to outline the "scope" of this discussion being customs when clearly you do not make that point in you original post. I believe that this is your way of eating you own words having been proven wrong by fact providing members of the community that button gliches have been deemed cheating by Bungie themselves. Second, button gliches were not the "best thing to happen" to Halo 2. To me the release of the game itself was the best thing to happen. With such classic maps as Lockout, Ascension, Sanctuary, and Midship this game still would have been a major force in the MLG scene without button gliches.

"...in all game types except sniper i use button glitches..."
Uh huh. Cheaters are veerrryy credible. Just keep cheating.

button glitches are not cheating at high levels because everyone uses them so its not actually making it an unfair game, it usually makes a better game

I BxRRx
way better chance of killing them

Just Chill, everything is going to be okay. Just don't rush.

I like the button glitches of Halo 2 because they can bring you back from an unfair advantage. Like the situation in Halo 3, who ever first shoots wins. THe double shot and quadshot can always turn the table on your opponent. I have also noticed that the people who hate the button glistches are always the people that don't know how to do them.

No you can't. Changing history to benefit yourself is for controlling purposes only. Now you've made it 3 pages of solid spam since you made a change like that. You can make a new post in the thead clearing it up, but you can't go back and do that and say it's the same. There's a difference.

You say that whoever shoots first wins, but I think that makes the game more interesting. It requires you to think where you are going to go and think if there is going to be somebody behind you. Also it makes the game less realistic (with regard to how realistic a game can get that focuses on a fantasy world in the future).

By the way, I love the incoherent, rambling posts by people like xMLGxGamertag. Keep it up.

on another point the same pepole who -blam!- about the lack of button glitches are the same pepole who -blam!- about bubble shields, regens etc..... in halo3. if it wasnt so sad id laugh, but come on this whole "well in halo3 whoever shoots first wins" is bull-blam!-, if your down in a fight drop a regen or throw a power drainer, it does the same basic function, in that if you are losing a fight it can save you, the very same point you have been arguing for bxr's and dub shots.another point on that is that if i outplay your ass and get the better angle, why should you be able to even it out with a glitch?atleast in halo3 regens and power drains etc... were MEANT to be in the game.and please save me from the "well button combos take skill and dropping a regen doesnt"argument, it really doesnt.

also by the same token if your ok with pepole bxring you then why do you get all butt hurt when i super bounce on top of crane with a sniper and go on a running riot?its the same thing really when you think about it, evryone can do it (if they know how) yet you -blam!- about it the same i do when you bxr me, and if anything super bouncing takes more skill then a bxr.

Precisely timing a series of three to EIGHT button presses in the heat of battle doesn't take any more skill than pressing one button?

Button glitching can be done anytime and anywhere but not super bouncing. Getting outside the normal boundaries of map garners too much of an advantage and once you're up there you can easily prevent anyone else from following you up there.

I have respect for the people who ferreted out those bugs (e.g. button glitches, super-jumping, etc). They did a great service for future Bungie games...by helping to mold a fair game in Halo 3 (Ha). Skilled players revealed cheaters as average players at best.

Do not worry! Someone will find glitches in Halo 3 and cheaters will again provide a challenge for the true elite. Just like this person provides for us now...

"If you cant just tap 3 buttons in a row to do a BXR your nub."

Who is the n006? Do 1337 players enjoy a challenge? Do people gain skill by taking shortcuts or by pushing it? How can you attain peak performance if you cheat?

Do your worst, make us better. Please do not play Halo 3. Play Halo 2. I do not want a 'fair' match. Challenge us with your cheating.

For the record, I suck at Mortal Kombat. I don't find it terribly fun to play against someone who has even a moderate amount of talent or experience. That game is about hitting buttons in certain orders very fast. That is the talent that is required.

In Halo, the skill that is (or should be) tested is map awareness and tactical knowledge. Getting in position to be the first person shooting is a major part of the game. Getting *out* of a bad situation where you've let yourself be caught (for instance with regens, power drains, strategic nades and retreats, etc) is also a major part. This game is not about button combinations (you don't see master chief using Fatalities on his opponents), this is a game about strategy, team or otherwise. BxRing is definitely a talent, of sorts, but not the one that this game is meant to test, at the heart of things.

Very true.

If you decide to button combo while sitting in the same room as me, I just might rip your arms off like a Wookie, because Wookies don't like losing.
