I know this has probably already been asked but would it be possible so that if a Bungie member of staff posts in a thread clicking on the gold 7th column icon will jump directly to the first post by a staff member? I mean lets face it if a staff member takes the time to post in a thread it's usually quite interesting, and if it fails to be informative it's usually funny.

I know this has probably been suggested before but if it's not possible why not?

Actually, that's not half bad...

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.

I asked for this feature when the new site update arrived but of course it got ignored.

It would even be better if all the Bungie employee posts could be shown as a thread. For example in a large thread that has multiple employee posts, it could list all the posts as if it's own thread.

Put this in the appropriate sticky--it might even be seen.

Think I did a while back...

I mean if I wanted to just read all posts by say Achronos I can just visit his profile and read all the recent posts, however if I'm just browsing the forums and see that 7th column logo and wonder what the staff member said i feel sad when I see like 20+ pages to go through....

I think the reason they haven't implemented it yet is because they want people to read more than one post in the whole thread, so they are more informed about the subject before they post.

Thats fine in theory however:

1) Just because I want to know what the staff member said does not mean I neccessarily post, I read loads of threads i do not post in, simply because I know there is nothing I can add or because I report it.

2) Morons who post in threads without knowing what the discussion is are likley to do that without reading the posts regardless whether a staff member has posted or not. I'm sure we've all seen plenty of posts where its clear the poster has ignored the 10 posts already then and just replied to the OP going "lol u suck"....

It is not a bad idea, but woudl'nt you want to hear what the thread is about before reading what the ninja said?

I'm gonna play devil's advocate here, even though this is not that bad an idea.

Having such a feature detracts from the discussion. By implementing it people would think that only the Employee's opinions are of value, when the whole point of these boards is that we have our voice. Sure, when you're just looking through the forums and want to see Achronos' posts it makes sense, but how many people that might add to the discussion while skimming through it for the post would stop because they can just click right to the post of interest. Anything that has a chance of even slowing discussion really has no place on a message board, if what they said was important it would be on the front page in the news section.

Not to mention the time it would take to implement such a feature, and most of all

How the -blam!- are you gonna know what they're talking about if all you read is the thread title and one post?
