I voted no. The last decent movie off of a game license was Resident Evil ( and while fun as hell, I use the word "decent" in a very loose way here).

It hasnt been done right, frankly I dont want my game ruined by Hollywood's interpretation. Theyre only concerned with doing what it takes to sell tickets.

I say yes. What if Bungie directed the movie?, it was like on of those high-budget independent films, and Bungie also selected all the actors (all the new up-and-coming stars).?

Just because video game movies have sucked in the past doesn't mean that that can't be fixed in the future!

Yes, it does. Even the better-than average Resident Evil movie sucked compared to most films.

Yes, but only if it doesn't give Halo a bad reputation.

OK First of all Vin Diesel? He couldn't act his way out of a paper bag!!!
Secondly, Hollywood's got a long way to go before they really do a game movie justice.
Thirdly, Bungie as directors? It's a lot harder to manage people than videogames. Let me rephrase that - It's not more difficult, it's AS difficult, and people who are trained to do one shouldn't accept the responsibilities of the other. Otherwise you get things like Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, or even worse Super Mario Bros. and *shudder* House of the Dead....

they should make a mechassualt movie, they already have the graphics to make robots look real, it would be sweet i think, missiles flying across open plains, mechs dropping from the skies, firing pulse lazers and gauss shots everywere, i would go see it, if they made it well, not some corny story.

Tomb Raider is cool and so is Vin Diesel!!!!!!!!!! You have no taste. Super Mario Bros. sucked so bad that I wanted to blow a hole in my telivision w/ a shotgun. Or gouge my eyes out with a rusty nail. Both work.

I have no taste? Me? If you think Vin Diesel is a good actor then you are the one who is lacking in taste my friend... Who can forget such timeless classics as Fast and the Furious (BTW which was scripted by someone who knew NOTHING about cars -- Double Clutching slows you down), x X x, and Knockaround Guys? I'll tell you who - EVERYONE - In about 15 years no one will recall him with any fondness - only nostalgia... the movies in which he makes a starring role (With the exception of Pitch Black and Riddick) are ppor to fair at best. The only movie that he's been in which was truly GOOD is Boiler Room. And thank god he wasn't in it long enough to ruin it. Well he was, just very few speaking parts (smart director).

BY THE WAY -- BOTH Tomb Raider movies SUCKED.. Just thought you should know. (But praise be to the costume designer!!!)

Actually Tomb Raider was the best movie that has been based on a video game. Fast and the Furious wasn't bad. You can't blame Vin Deseil for the writers screw ups. He's a good actor he just never seems to be in any really good movies. (does that even make sense?)
He would be good to play as Master Chief.
