How did you play Halo online?

A—are you serious?

Should we even tell them about PhoneNet for Mac?

Blizzard, there is/was a group of programs that would run on an Internet connected PC that were called "tunneling" programs. They would allow an Xbox to see other Xboxes on the Internet as if it were one large system link or LAN setup.

XBC (Xboxconnect) is one of the more widespread ones. They still exist, are free and support a wide variety of non-XBL capable games.
That's all true, but not what I was talking about. I mean, I spent most of yesterday playing Halo PC against French people. "Prendez le warthog!" they said. That's what they said.

It felt like the internet wasnt up to date when XBC first came, all I recall is a notorious lagfest.

Damn French people, can't even spell 'prenez' correctly. Or maybe it was 'prendrez' assuming they were thinking ahead.

I still remember being huddled in our small office, playing 4 player splitscreen over XBconnect on a 13 inch tv.

Now those were some good times. Especially CTF on Blood Gulch.

Taxes do nothing to affect the share of wealth, since taxes are only applied to income.

So that's not even a part of the conversation at all, so it's pointless talking about it....

"for a "best" moral to exist, there must exist the "best" moral base. If the base of morality varies from location to location, culture to culture...then there can't be an absolute moral..

your account is further proof of what many of us have supposed, that the member titles hinge upon the age of an account, meeting some minimum amount of activity (you have 13 pages of posts over the life of your account), and not getting banned much. simply having an account for a while and not getting banned seems to be an easy way to earn the titles.

Yayz!

Although, I wish activity throughout the years could've been recorded. It's one thing to have been here for a long time, it's another to have actually been doing stuff the whole time.

Anybody?

Ah... XBC. Those were the days.

If you think cheating is bad now, or that it was bad in Halo 2, you should've been around back then.

September of 2005. But I've gotten week-long vacations twice during that span, so I'm just a member.

I was too busy being run over by banshees to pay enough attention. Curiously enough, that's precisely the same reason I didn't pay attention in French at high school.
