Subject: Question About Halo 2

I attended Lancaster University of Lols(LUL). I majored in Loltistics with a minor in Roflology. In my spare time I like gallivanting across the countryside arm-in-arm with my friends while singing Kumbaya with Hello Kitty tattoos on our foreheads.

Oh...and Reach is the worst Halo game thus far. GG, Bungie.

I've been playing Halo 3 alot recently and now, well, I miss Halo 2. I'm thinking of buying another Halo 2 game(since my last one went to heck) on the 5th. I was just wondering, since I'm new to the 360, if you can play Halo 2 on the 360? My regular Xbox is no longer with me ;(.
Also, anyone know any stores that sell the game?(i.e Gamestop, Wal-Mart)?

I'm pretty sure that you can buy Halo 2 at more or less any retailer. WalMart may or may not have it, and GameStop would be jerks if they didn't. Last I was there, they still carried Halo CE, although they had to go into the back room and rummage through an old trunk filled with dusty Atari systems to find it.

As the other two posters above me said, you can play on your 360, although I believe the game is optimized for Original Xbox.

Gamestop, Best Buy, and Circuit City are probably your best bets (I don't trust wal-mart).

You can play Halo 2 on your 360 as long as you have the premium package (not the core). The premium has the backwards compatibility which allows you to play some Xbox titles on it (not all). If you want to play other Xbox titles on your 360, you'll have to get updates. If I can remember correctly, you can get them off the Xbox website (I could be wrong).

actually renegade01, you are wrong. i have a core system and i can play halo CE and halo 2 just fine w/o having to download any updates.

Really?? So the core can have backwards compatibility, just so as long as you have a hard-drive? Interesting. Also, I didn't say you needed updates to Play Halo: CE and Halo 2 in particular, just other Xbox titles that require the updates.

Awesome, thanks for the help. I've also heard that images are burned onto your screen from playing Halo 2. Is that true?
