All my opinion.

After I shoot something, my weapon will still continue to fire after I stopped. I tried switching weapons, but it ends up shooting that one. I NEVER click the mouse when this happens. It seems pretty random; sometimes I never occurs, then the next minute, I'm shooting right at my cover. The shots aren't blank, I've killed a marine by simply aiming at him and letting the "auto-fire" shoot him.

My buttons are default, I use a mouse. Does anyone know why this happens, and if there is a way to stop/control it?

Sounds like a hardware problem.

I'm not really an expert on the subject, but I don't see how upgrading your video card can fix the problem.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

I had this problem. Turned out to be a broken mouse.

That seems right. Maybe the button underneath the plastic button you click on your mouse is being pressed down.
