Ya know what back in the day, where americans burned innocent people at the stake, when people thought people were possessed, ect ect.

There were these fairy tales.. No. not those kiddie fairy tales that disney butchered but fairy tales that taught kids of true horror, that struck fear into a little kid into thinking twice before he or she could cause trouble..

These tales were gruesome, violent, disgusting, and made little kids cry and give them nightmares.

Descriptions from spawn.com

Gretal
This German princess strikes a much more, uh, impressive pose than her fairy tale counterpart. Getting lost in the woods is the least of her worries.

Hansel
Gretel's brother is in somewhat of a bind, trapped and waiting for the evil witch to fatten him up.

Peter Pumpkin Head
Peter has definitely lost his cool. His wife is now resting "piecefully" in the pumpkin and Peter's making room for more.

Little Miss Muffet
The eight-legged monstrosity attacking poor Miss Muffet has more on his mind than curds and whey.

Humpty Dumpty
Falling off the wall was shocking enough, but Humpty is in a real world of hurt now. A mere cracked shell would seem like a gift at this point.

Red Riding Hood
All we can say is that the Big Bad Wolf didn't know what he was getting into when he attacked this particular young lady.

The Little Red Riding Hood, the french version. After she asks about his teeth, the wolf eats her.

Also, the Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig was a great story back in the day.

How about the one about the one about "an end to all combat operations?"

At least my uncle made it out of there in one piece.

Ya know what back in the day, where americans burned innocent people at the stake, when people thought people were possessed, ect ect.

You know, I always thought that the belief in witchcraft, possession and buring at the stake was something that happened during the middle ages in Europe. It can't have happened in America...what with America not existing during that time period.

Ahhh, the sweet taste of history....

I think someone needs to refresh on American history. Ever heard of the Salem Witch Trials?

Ok, my bad, I was wrong. We were never taught any American history at school (apart from all the boom/bust economic history of the early 1900's, and the stuff to do with racial equality and the rise and influence of the -blam!-). Looks interesting though, I may look into it later. But first, I have an exam to do....

I didn't realize that you were not American until after I had posted it. We, obviously, are taught American history, so that's the only reason I knew about it.
