Oh god and the humididty and dryness make it so much worse too, but hey, atleast its not snowing, right?

Look downwards...See those two things attached to your pelvis? They're called legs, and they're remarkably useful for when you want to walk between two points. Couldn't you have put them to use and walked home, instead of sitting about for many hours waiting for your dad to come pick you up?

Touche. I live in Canada in Northwestern Ontario, and if you lived here, you and a lot of other people who are physically incapable of walking for an hour or two would be spending more than a night at school. It takes me about 35 min. to walk to school under the best of conditions, I don't ride the bus, and I quite often walk to and from school when there is A LOT more than a measly 6 cm of snowfall.

What I can't believe is how or why anyone would spend the night at school because of heavy snowfall. I'm sorry, but that's just ludicrous. I probably wouldn't spend the night at school if there was a hurricane. I certainly would not let any amount of snowfall keep me getting home from school.

I know what he means, in P.A. one time, when had less than 3 inches on the ground, and we had to stay after until about 9:00pm. It wasn't the snow, it was the big ice storm that we got that night, the buses parked in the parking lots were huge blocks of ice. The drivers couldn't even get to the handles to open the doors. It was funny watching them with hammers trying to get enough ice off the tires so they could roll at least. Then the school bus ice capades began! The amount of traction was like oily ice cubes sliding over cold metal. Damn I wish I had a carmera...
