I would have to say 343 Guilty Spark. I just love how creepy this level is.

  • 03.21.2008 5:51 AM PDT

Sometimes when I look at the moon at night, my mind embraces the thought of a love so vivid and true that I almost believe it is real. Then, due to my delusions, I am forced back into reality and begin to indulge myself in real life vices such as chocolates and German board games to get that once natural high.

Is there an all option?

AotCR or The Silent Cartographer... Love those levels...

A few years from now nothing you do in this game will have mattered. Your rank, kill/death ratio, win/loss ratio, will get you no where. So, if your going to play the game, do it for the enjoyment.

The Maw - single GREATEST level of any game EVER!

For me it's Truth and Rec. It was the first level I played in Halo when I was at a friends house. I just loved using the Sniper with the night vision taking the Covies out in the dark.

Really, it's very simple if you don't think about it

my fave level is The Maw only because u get big ass guns! and running evry body over like a destruction derby circuit

both the levels with snow in them because its just a wide area to explore(and kill things)

  • 04.22.2008 6:31 AM PDT

Supreme Dictator, Industrial Polluter, Megalomaniac, Corrupt Politician, Underhanded Reprobate, Rainforest Ravager, Puppy Kicker, Oil Spill Coordinator, Holiday Hater, and an Insurance Salesman.

Tough choice, I would probably say the MAW.

I think you should burn your halo disc for wanting something this skill free, host dependent, repetative, stupid, and overall bad. I hope you burn in the hottest fires of hell for presenting such a terrible idea. In conclusion, jesus died for everyone but you.

Ninja Academy

Truth and Rec on legendary is the best level in Halo history i think, it has everything, Sniping, close combat, and everything in between...well actually its tied with Two Betrayles
Then comes Slilent Cartographer, AoCR, and The Maw, and pretty much all the others, i cant really decide,. theres no bad level in Halo CE....

Assault on the Control Room for sure. It was the most fun to play and gave you the full experience of everything.

The Silent Cartographer: Combine a relatively non-linear outdoor area that you can fully explore with unique encounters and where the plot starts to get really interesting, and you have yourself an awesome level. The opening is unforgettable, and driving that warthog around the edge of that fully developed island never gets old. It also made one hell of a multiplayer level, matches on Death Island are always full of surprises.

343 Guilty Spark: Brim ming with atmosphere and suspense, then the twist that changed everything you knew of this universe, etc. Great devices that drive the narrative are everywhere, and as you journey further underground, the gravity of the situation builds. In my opinion it's easily the best Flood level in the game.

Honourable Mentions:

Truth and Reconciliation: The beginning of the level is among my most fond of memories of this game. Making your way across the dark cliff edge, marines in tow, and then Under Cover of Night plays, damn, it's a moment that induces nostalgia every time. The outdoor portion of the level was awesome, the indoor ship section felt slightly claustrophobic and repetitive. But those outdoor sections, they're simply timeless.

Assault on The Control Room/Two Betrayals: Again goes to the outdoor sections, the indoor sections and repetitive series of bridges and corridors bring the other sections down. But the outdoor sections are superb, interesting encounters are commonplace, and your weaponry and vehicles change and shift as you go along. Attacking the entrance to the Control Room and hearing the electric piano come to life as you grappled with Hunters and Zealots is a Halo classic experience.

Edit: Argh, it censored "brim.ming" :p

Most played: AotCR

I really liked them all though, even The Library. I don't think this campaign has ever been topped by any game to this day, even H2 and H3.
