I know there are lots of topics like this, but it really sucks going through 50 pages or material.

Anyway, can you guys come up with new ideas for weapons (they dont have to be balanced, just what you think would be cool)

My idea:

M24 APM Lotus Anti-Personnal Mine: Almost identical to the Lotus Anti-Tank Mine, except for a few changes. More modes of detonation better suited for ground units. You are able to change different ways of detonating the mine. This would be accesed by having the mine in your hand and pushing the Right Thumbstick Button down until you have the desired mode of detonation. Next, you would X to change options for the detonation mode (ex; Range, Time, Sensors, etc.) Here are the modes.

Specifications:

Size: 1 ft.
Weight: 7 lbs.
Shape: Disc

Remote Detonated: After selecting Remote Detonation, the mine would arm and you would throw it on the desired object by pressing and holding the Right Trigger, Longer you hold it, farther it goes, Once you have thrown the mine, it would attach to something viz. spikes on side. You could throw as many mines as you have, or switch to your remote by pressing Left Thumbstick. Once your ready, press the detonater, and watch it blow.

Timed Detonated: After selecting Timed Detonation, you must now select a time. By pressing X, you increase the time by five seconds each time you push X. The max detonation time is fourty seconds. Once the timer is set, throw it, and run!

Sensory Detonated: After selecting Sensory Detonation, you must next select a range, 1 meter, 5 meters, or 10 meters. The greater the range, the less powerful the Mine becomes, so for example, if you set the mine to 1m, and someone comes near it, BOOM! They're dead. but if you set it to 10m and someone comes in range of it, BOOM! they arent dead, but are hurt.

BONUS! You could throw the Mine ONTO someone. The spikes would attach to them and you could detonate it however you wanted (if you had it set for Range, it would detonate on impact)

auto-turrets that you could place on like a celing that shoot people when they see you

useful for ctf

weight: 30lbs
gun type: 3 bareled LAAG chain gun
shape: warthog chaingun, but upside down

press L trigger to lay, L trigger agin to activate, L trigger once more to deactivate.
the other team could deactivate it, though, so you would need proper placing to a point that is really hard to see the control pannel

I follow the KISS rule. I like to keep my weapons simple. (To the exclusion of my MX-3 Grapple Gun)

The Covenant Shotgun:

An inferior copy of the human shotgun the Covenant Shotgun uses what technology is available to them to simulate the elite killing power of the it's human counterpart. It fails. It fires a blast of eight needles in a tight grouping with no tracking. Devastatingly powerful, the needles explode a second after impact. Unfortunately, this delay is critical in close quarters combat and is what has proven it inferior to the original human version.
