Hellooo - I'm Stan. New to the forum but have been playing Halo on t'PC for a while and I must say I'm hooked (much to the wife's annoyance!). Anyway I thought i'd start with a n00b question - what's this ranking system and how do I check it out? Is it just for clans or individual slayers? I've been reading some of the other posts and am pleased to say I have no graphics issues (9800pro) - man there should be another forum set up for graphics cards with the amount of probs out there!
I will buy Halo2 when out and yes, it will be better than the $ box - just like everything else on the PC!
Thats it for now - see u online. I'm usually on a Danger Canyon server somewhere!

Heyyo,

Welcome to the maw stan. ;)

Ranking system is for Halo is on $box only. It tells you how many kills, deaths, flag caps n' stuff you've done, and your rank out of all the other players. There are pc games that have ranking systems, for example, Unreal Tournament series (from 1 all the way to 2004). THAT'S a cool system. I'm sure Halo2 just got its idea from this game..

It's good to hear you have no issues. I myself have a 9600 PRO, and np here just minus the new ati catalyst drivers which seem to make my games run worse...

A separate forum for that stuff? well someone tried to start one, but I'm not sure if that idea really took off...

Yeah with a good PC we can easily make any game better than $box. One annoying thing aboot these forums is we get like, 12 year old $box flamers that have 9 year old pcs come on here and say retarded junk like "Oh, $box is faster than a pc"... how their lack of knowledge is entertaining. =D

Welcome to the forums dude... It's nice to see someone introduce themselves first rather than 'OY! I've got a problem!' ... lol

Enjoy your stay.

(...and Mard, when did you upgrade?)
