Psychology trick. How you pinpoint a sounds direction is calculated from the sound hitting one ear to the other. Now get a buddy. Tell him to close his eyes and snap to his left, right, top, front, and back of his head. Now tell him if he hears a snap, he/she must tell where they think the snap is coming from. ex.) you snap in front of her. she says front. simple

Now test it out. Snap around the left and right ear. They should be able to pinpoint the location very easily. Now snap near the top, back and front. Alternate and/or repeat an area to snap around. You'll notice that they can easily pinpoint sound from the left or right, yet the distance down the middle is the same! So, interpreting the direction of sound from the top, front, and back is very difficult and they'll most likely get those reactions wrong!
