==Your guide to making custom links for the game viewer.==

Did you ever want to post or email a link of that game viewer page but the only link you could find to send was the link to the overview page? Well here is some help.

Some of these variables are optional, you know that there is no objective route in teams slayer. You can always omit the objective route variable if you don’t want to show it or don’t have one. You won’t need location variables unless you are going to zoom in.

Remember only change the number values. ie. change mx=355 to mx=200.

Let me know if you figure out what the p=1 variable does. Post any corrections too.
See below examples for detailed descriptions of game viewer link variables.

Example game standard link:
http://www.bungie.net/stats/richgame.aspx?g=60402938&mn=1 36&mx=355 &v=27&p=1&c=3&zx=158&zy=122&zs=1

Example game- custom link:
“Sketch this guy used the dummy glitch.”
http://www.bungie.net/stats/richgame.aspx?g=60402938&mn=1 36&mx=355 &v=24&p=1&c=3&zx=158&zy=122&zs=1

Example custom link:
“Check out my two triple kills!!!”
http://www.bungie.net/stats/richgame.aspx?g=59207862&mn=3 8&mx=498&v=39&p=4&zx=300&zy=350&zs=3

Game ID
http://www.bungie.net/stats/richgame.aspx?g=604029 38 &mn=136&mx=355&v=27&p=1&c=3&zx=158&am p;zy=122&zs=1

g=60402938 is the Game ID number

Time Frame to show kills
http://www.bungie.net/stats/richgame.aspx?g=60402938&[col or=red]mn=136[ /color]&mx=355&v=27&p=1&c= 3&zx=158&zy=122&zs=1

mn=136 is the lower time variable to show kills

mx=355 is the upper time variable to show kills

This give you the time frame to show the kills from when to when

The view

v=27 is the view you want to show

The objective route
http://www.bungie.net/stats/richgame.aspx?g=60402938&mn=1 36&mx=355&v=27 &p=1&c=3&zx=158&zy=122& ;zs=1

c=3 is the objective route number

Location of the zoomed in view
http://www.bungie.net/stats/richgame.aspx?g=60402938&mn=1 36&mx=355&v=27 &p=1&c=3&zx=158&zy=122&zs=1

zx=158 is the x coordinates of the center of your view on the map (the horizontal position)

zy=122 is the y coordinates of the center of your view on the map (the vertical position)

NOTE: The starting x=0 y=0 position on the map is the upper left corner.

Zoom in
http://www.bungie.net/stats/richgame.aspx?g=60402938&mn=1 36&mx=355&v=27 &p=1&c=3&zx=158&zy=122&zs=1[/c olor]

zs=1 is the zoom of the view

NOTE: To zoom in you must have also have values (zx= and zy= ) for the location of the zoomed in view

Very well done!
But this would be cooler in the Zanzibar Halo 2 Multiplayer Forum or the Optimatch
Halo 2 Xbox Live Playlists Forum

Thanks.

I thought so too but I decided that the post relates to using Bungie.net more efficiently so it could go here too. And this way it will take the post longer to get buried and therefore be able help out more people. (At least I hope it helps people out.) On the other hand I don't want to clutter up the wrong forum either.

I'm certifiable.

Thanks alot for the post, Xraf. I'd have found it handy over on Zanzibar, but as you feared it dropped off the radar rather quickly.

I'm going to bookmark this thread for future reference.
