Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

It will adjust as in the B.Net profile will register that you changed your gamertag name and it will update the information. Your Bungie.Net profile will not get a name change to match your gamertag.

Hello.

Do not be surprised that your GT doesn't appear correctly right away. It will take some time, but if you're lucky, everything will be fine quickly.

No, it will not adjust. It's a little complicated for someone who does not understand how these things work. If you change your gamertag name, it will still be linked to your Bungie.net account. You cannot change your Bungie.net display name so the names would have to be different. I can explain an alternate solution though that would solve your issue and get you what you desire.

Change your Xbox Live gamertag and then create a new Bungie.net account, thus creating a new Windows Live ID, so that the display names will match. Sign into Xbox Live and go to Account Management. Select Windows Live ID and then Change WLID. Enter the current WLID information and then the new login information to your Bungie.net account.

If done successfully, your gamertag will be reassociated to a new Bungie.net account with the same display name. Your current Bnet account can still be signed into with the old WLID login, but will now be unlinked from your gamertag. If you have more questions or would like further assistance, feel free to send me a private message and I'll be more than glad to help with what I can.
