What do you think about the Warthog being able to shoot a grapling hook out the front(it has one on there) maybe the driver can shoot it or the passenger...but have it when it hits some thing it either:
1)pulls the Warthog closer to the attached object
2)stop the object, like a ghost, dead in it's tracks
3)both pulls the Warthog closer to the object that is part or the map and is able to stop movable objects like a ghost or Scorpion

Sigh. . . I'm not sure exactly how you could implement something like this into the game without totally taking out the gameplay type of the game itself. For instance, the hook is a good idea on Quake, UT, or other FPS games like that. Halo not being like those games, I couldn't see a fashionable use or design for this concept. Keep trying there pal, hah

Thanks Pal, it was a try, but it is real hard to make a game better when it is practily flawless

Lol yes that is so true.

Initially it would be a good fun concept, but the blend into gameplay I reckon would make many go in over their head. Grappling their way around the maps. Still, hard to say what the cons (ie. delay between grapplings, length etc.) would be.

oh god!! thats not a grappling hook its a winch!!! and they dont shoot out either. they put those on jeeps so you can wrap it around a tree or a rock and pull yourself out of mud when you get stuck. its not some fantastic hook shot like link has that you can start shooting around all willy nilly at everything for no reason.

True again spartan 023, it is a winch. If you look at a jeep, they usually have them. It is used for all sorts of things. Pulling yourself out of sticky situations, pulling others out of sticky situations and dragging obstructions out of the way (sure there are many more).

Don't think a grappling hook would work too well in Halo gameplay. To be honest I don't think a winch would work too well either.

With a grappling hook it wouldn't be too realistic and would most likely be more a burden than a help.

With a winch it woudn't be too good as you would have to be out of the warthog to use it. Making it useless in my combat situations. It would be hard to use as there has to be minimum threat as you would be very vunerable while carrying out the winch to an object. It would take too long and stop the flow of the gameplay. Obstructions are there for a reason and that is to point us in the right direction.
