heres something for you.

Forgotton

two skiers were going down a mountain, they were normal teenagers enjoying their christmas vacation. One of them spotted smoke and decided that they should cheak it out. the other agreed and they went in that direction.

Soon they came across a small house. The door was flung wide open and heat was escaping the house. The skiers put their gear down and went inside to see if the inhabatants were alright. "HELLO! IS ANYONE HERE!?" one said. No answer. They went threw the house. One screamed out in horror. His friend came running into what would have been a nice bedroom. The only problem was that the room was coated in blood and organs.

One walked out and threw up on the floor and the other just gazzed in horror at the sight in the room. "lets get the hell out of here", "agreeded". They both ran out of the room. When the reach the door their hearts almost stopped. A large spike was rammed threw the door keeping it closed and words were writen in blood on the door. It read "you came to place and now your lives are mine to be ride of....." they saw the haed of the owner of the house gazing up at them mouth open and blood covered. They hear a low growl from behinde them. Both turned slowly and saw a figure standing in the room with them. It was wereing a large blood red hooded robe, spikes running down its bake and forming a cluster on its upper back, and the two most horrable glowing red eyes and deadly teeth were the last things they saw and a horrable deep laugh was the last thing they heard before the creature crushed their heads in an exploshion of gore.

"welcome to hell........ " the creature growled.

The Camera

Do you believe in ghost stories? Most people will probably say yes, but who could blame them? The scariest stuff they might have seen is whatever you see on TV or read in a book. But you want to know the truth? There's things out there. You've just never looked.

I lived in South America at the time. I was helping some scientists find new animals, considering how many had been discovered in the past few years. I was basically the "pack mule" for them. I was to carry all equipment (whenever we weren't using the trucks atleast). God forbid any scientist carry equipment. I was carrying easily 200 pounds a day, sometimes more.

We were on the trail of an animal, who apparently looked like a mammoth pig/rat thing. I don't understand any of this zoology crap. Anyway, the cameraman came down with the flu, so I had to carry equipment AND film it. Not the easiest job in the world, but hey, it paid the bills.

We had started off into the jungle. One of the "Docters" was talking to the camera. I wasn't really paying any attention. When we finally had walked for hours, we decided to rest (yeah right, I was the only one who did any manual labor).

We found some sort of temple that had been discovered a few years back, and decided to rest by it. We were sitting around talking, when we spotted the animal by the entrance. I guess you know what we did when it went inside.

It was pitch black, and the only light was the one emmiting from the camera. Everyone was talking. One guy actually said he pissed his pants out of fear. I called him a wimp. So sad that was probably the last thing I said to the poor guy.

We eventually made it to the main chamber. We saw the animal. It was dead on the center alter. Standing behind it was what appeared to be a man. Telling by the poor light of the camera, he had bluish skin and yellow eyes. He was missing flesh from most of his limbs, and his left eye was hanging slightly out of his socket. A piece of flesh was hanging out of his mouth. He slowly motioned to us. We moved towards him. Everyone started questioning to ask if we could transport him to a hospital and how long he was there. The man showed no expression for a while. Then his lips curled into a smile. An evil smile.

He attacked us, like a hurricane whipping through a storm. Throats were slashed, limbs were lost. Eye sockets were gouged, etc etc. Out of 27 scientists and speacialist who entered the temple, 1 made it out. Me. I got the entire thing on tape. The temple was blown to bits, and all actions and studies in South America were pulled. I live, this day, to retell these horrifiying events. A few items were forced to be with held by the government. I know live in Northern Russia. I work at a McDonalds. I am never leaving again

is that true?

The scariest stories I've read were in those "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" books. Those stories stuck with me for a year or two. Scared the utter crap out of me. That caving story in that other thread scared me too.

That is in incredibly creepy/edge of your seat story. I like short stories because I feel I don't have to invest a lot of time in them.
