It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

Be here awhile without being in trouble a whole lot.

There is NO known way for one to obtain those ranks. The only thing people have assumed for one to get these ranks is the time since you became a B.net member, and past bans/blacklistings.

Since the update given to the ranks a few months ago, leaving them glitched; many people recieved ranks they should never have gotten. The glitch was never fully fixed, I made a thread that nobody could prove the glitch was fully fixed. The ranks have no special advantages over other members, so in other words: Don't worry about them, you will recieve one if Bungie wishes to give you one.

The only way that's guaranteed to work is to post. A lot.

Not to prove you wrong....but you can use me as an example. I post a lot, and have been here for nearly 2 years. Yet I'm still a member.

I don't think a pointless 1 week blacklisting effects my status. I got blacklisted once because one of the threads I posted on became spam heaven, so a ninja blacklisted everyone who posted for 1 week. I couldn't even appeal, and believe me that ninja's responce to my pm message was if he helped me out, he'd have to help out all other spammers.

I don't think that should have anything to do with it, Bungie won't even let you appeal a 1 week blacklisting. I look at it like this, the more you post, the greater chance you'll get blacklisted for some dumb reason like that. I honestly don't care much for the ranks as theres nothing special about them. Although I do admit I don't trust any normal Forum Ninja since my lil encounter, only Master ninjas and Achronos/Bungie Staff members.

Or you could actually judge what type of thread you're posting on and whether or not you think it has potential to be productive to the OPs comment or question, or whether it was a pointless rant in which doesn't need a response in the first place.

Yes, I don't post on topics that have no point what-so-ever. I posted on that topic before there was a bunch of so called spam on it. I don't see how its my fault that a topic, that isn't mine, becomes a home for spammers.

Well without having to delve into details and what not, I think you would agree with me in saying that an event like that happens very rarely. The fact that you happened to be stuck in the middle is just bad luck.
