The mission "343 Guilty Spark" Scared the hell out of me, because when you look around, you see a downed Pelican, dead marines, dead covenant... dead flood...

So, I was like HELL NO cause you see like blood spilling all over,

i KNOW!! whenever i would turn around on the game, i would see a flood right in front of my face. of course i had the volume really loud so when it screamed i had a heart attack.

i HATED that misson with a passion. I was so afraid to play it. I didn't have any partners, everyone was dead. I never seen something like that, the flood. Their hideous. I was just glad that i had a shotty in that mission.

First time I played through halo was alone in my basement at night.

That level was very scary for me the first time I played it. I was always looking behind me in real life because I always had this feeling that someone was behind me. And that cutscene just before the flood appear is great.

The music is what really made the whole mood complete. The music was amazing.

"Laa shay'a waqui'n moutlaq bale kouloun moumkine. The wisdom of our Creed is revealed through these words. We work in the dark to serve the light. We are Assassins. Nothing is true, everything is permitted."

It scared the crap out of me. It's worse at night.

First time I played it, I was a bit creeped out, but not much. When I met the Flood, I wouldn;t even walk to the first room to kill all the popcorn, and used my grenades. I stayed their for like 10 minutes without moving.

I always offer fair game and usually allow some "extermination" of my teammates. I think that anyone should be able to play Halo or any other game they please.

I heard the voice in the downed Pelican saying that they had lost contact with Captain Keyes.
Then when I entered the building and saw all the bodies,I got freaked out. I then entered the room with Private Jenkins' helmet, had the body fall on me, and saw the movie. I did like how Captain Keyes asked if the dead Elite was the Marines' friend.
I was very scared when i played this level because my dad was not home and it was at night.

I did it at night, it creeped me out the first time. I kept thinking someone was watching me. I blasted through as carefully as I could that level. The bodies, the blood, I thought I'd fight something worse than hunters in a few seconds. And I was pretty much right.

Most...disturbing...turn...ever...

Anyone ever kill the first Flood you get to see ?
On the log ?
Can't remember if I ever downed it.

  • 03.25.2008 3:39 PM PDT

You can down them, but they all get up again. Even after a full pistol clip, in Easy.

Trying to play that level at 11 pm was disturbing. I was the only one home too. So ofcourse I had the volume up high. The music was also scary.

'Κύριε Ἰησοῦ Χριστέ, Υἱὲ τοῦ Θεοῦ, ἐλέησόν με τὸν ἁμαρτωλόν.'

That level honestly scared the hell out of me.

Especially that part where your at the door and master chief heres something behind him
and he looks and nothing is there, then he opens the door and a dead marine falls on him.

They have a large barge with a radio antenna on it, where they charge up and discharge.

I remember accidentally skipping Jenkins's helmet-cam cutscene, so I had no idea what was going on. It felt like, literally, I was being swarmed and charged by an enemy I knew nothing about, and the world just kinda closed in. I felt wholly unprepared. Then the Combat Forms showed up.

I went to sleep thinking about those faces, man. That's something frightening.

Because you are what you eat, and you know what it is.

The second introduction to the Flood in Halo 2 was scarier.

  • 03.28.2008 8:48 AM PDT

there ARE things moving in that swamp...

  • 03.28.2008 9:40 PM PDT

i think 'keyes' is scarier. i jumped on a ledge, saw a flood, so i freaked and turned on my headlamp... as soon as the light appeared, it was effin GONE.

Yeah. There definitely are Combat Forms that move around in the beginning. When you're crossing the downed log and your motion tracker notes the presence of mobile enemies, take a ninety degree turn to your right and look (with your pistol scope) at the crest of the hill.

You'll see them.
