My dad and I own like 8 shotguns. I shoot a 20-gauge, 12, and 28(all for either duck, pheasant, or quail hunting). I have shot a .22 with a scope(sweet ass gun for killing small animals) and my dad's .357 magnum(kicks like a -blam!-)

I own the .50 cal DE I was talkin about but don't know the exact specifics like the differences between MM and a Caliber, someone care to explain. I also never found the DE's kickback as bad as people described it but its just me.

guns are cool but a knife never runs out of ammo

Yeah, but you can't hit something from 100+ yards with a knife.

On a trip to England I shot a Rifle (I fail to remeber the specs) at the flying pottery-plates that launch when you yell "Pull!".

You were shooting a shotgun, not a rifle.

Screw guns and knives, its all about martial arts. Plain old karate (open handed defense/attack) has a range of different arts, then there are strictly defensive arts like ju-jitsu, etc etc. Plus, according to hollywood, if you learn Shao-lin Kung Fu, in the Shao-lin mountains, then you are given special abilities which defy all physics. Beat that!! heh.

btw I only defend martial arts because of my participation, and therefore inherent fan-boy-ness. I'm sure if it were the other way around I would defend guns and knives more...

Living in Australia means that you are trained to use firearms from a young age. I was 6 when I moved here and have been educated to use a wide variety of guns and projectile firing weapons.

It's mainly to fight off spiders and dropbears.

Seriously though, I'm glad I live in a country where the gun culture isn't as pronounced as it is in the US.

Yes, I've fired a rifle before. That's when I learned my aim is pretty good.

.40 Glock

My personal faves. I like the full-size (Model 22) and the sub-compact (Model 27) as a carry pair.

With that combo and a double magazine carrier, that's 57 rounds of .40 frangible self-defense.

If you're carrying that much fire power it's not self defense. Unless maybe you live in the middle east some where.

Ahh now that's a person I can appreciate.

EDIT: I think that yes people should carry guns even in America(with the correct liscense to carry their firearm(s)) but as responsible people we should encourage gun saftey. Ohh yes and Glocks are good guns I personally carry 2 and a small .22 just for back-up firepower.
