I was watching television and I saw the comericial for the movie Coach Carter. In the background there was a song s playing. It seemed a little familar. It turns out that it was Phil Collins' hit Hold On . Only, it was sung by some other guy in a horrible rock theme. They really ruined a classic and goood song. There was also that other commericial on were there was a classic song being sung by some girl. (if you happen to know the name of song I'm talking about, please post it). What do you all think of this? Do think the new artists are doing the songs justice? I don't, but I'd like some feedback. It seems that artist are now so unnoriginal that they have to do horrible job of ripping off another song.

Sometimes a remix is good (KoRn: "Another brick in the wall" from Pink Floyd, Maralyn Manson: "Personal Jesus" from the Doors), other times they're bad (Limp Bizcut: "Behind blue eyes" from The Who, 311: the song they coppied from the Cure for that Adam Sandler movie).

The atrocity that was "behind blue eyes" By Limp Bizkit made all my friends think that The Who sucked for making such a crappy song.

Perfection should never be copied by lower level bands. They all did horible covers and I despise them for do so.

Truly. How can you say that Korn did Pink Floyd justice? The Pink Floyd version rocked!

Too much of a Jazz influence and the Guitar solo (in my opinion) sounded like someone dropped their guitar down a flight of stairs.
