I know that tere are 3 halo books but I know for a fact that bungie said that they are not related to the writer of the books and the story was created by the book writer and will not be part of Halo 2. So why do y'all think that if it says there are certain weapons in the book than they will be in the game

Well, considering the books are almost the same as the game, I'd have to say that they are linked.

the novles carry the halo name, given to them to use by bungie.... so by law they have to be relativly connected, and besides the battle rifle was in the book and its in the game so why not the other stuff?

As you and I both know -blam!- is now slang for stupid or nerdy. If you are acting smart, saying "but, but, that is not the DEFINITION IN THE DICTIONARY" good for you but most kids use that word now. Don't be ignorant.

lets try to stay on topic here. The books will tie into the game because Eric Nylund had clearance from Bungie to write said books (Fall of Reach and First Strike). Also, in an interview with Bungie, Bungie said that "Halo 2 will effectivly pick up when the original Halo ended, around the same time as First Strike." By mentioning that name, they are acknowlidging their ties with the books.

But how would the books tie in? I mean, The Fall of Reach tied into the game, but it didn't really explain anything that happened in the game. So, it will be like that, I'm sure. The game will work whether or not the books are there. It will tie into the game, but it will be like a separate thing... if you get what I'm saying.

Halo 2 is going to pick up where First Strike begins, or where Halo 1 left off (same place). First Strike and Halo 2 follow Master Chief, therefore Halo 2 will go back over First Strike in videogame form.

No actually Halo 2 will pick up where First Strike ENDED. I'm sure things will be explained in game if anything in First Strike is important in Halo 2. You dont need to have read the books to know whats going on in the games, they just give better details and stronger explanations of things. Where did you read that they were strictly fan fiction? I heard Nyland worked closely with Bungie and that everything in the book was checked by them

xmdthelonerngr....The books are official. They are not fan fictions. They are Bungie sanctioned. I have no idea where you got the impression they were fan fics, but you are wrong. Try getting things straight, otherwise I'll have to open a can of Halo Knowledge whoop-ass on you.
