Halo for the PC is as fun as Halo for xbox, but it's harder to use because you have to use your mouse and keyboard. In Halo for the xbox, you just need to use the controller. That's just my opinion though.

For someone that started playing games on the PC I think the mouse and keyboard is the easiest. Using them comes naturally for me and I'm lighting fast with my reflexes whereas with a controller I feel slow and clumsy. I absolutely believe the controller's holding me back from my full potential.

What platform did you start gaming on? If it's a console than I can understand where you coming from.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

The aim-assist in Halo Xbox makes controller easy to use, but I'm so used to the mouse and keyboard I find changing to controller hard. Whatever you're used to comes naturally I guess.

I lost the little ball thing in my mouse, and my "mouse" is now one of those laptop things.

I'm getting better at it, but until I get a new mouse, I find it very difficult
(unless I'm driving or in the hog turret)

i think slight auto-aim with the controller actually delivers a better experience. it compensates for slight hitches in performance and lag. It doesn't excuse devs who make games with bad netcode or bad frame rate but slight autoaim helps people to keep track of their target a little easier. halo 2's was overkill and 3 did it pretty nicely but i feel that they could have reduced it further. But they have to make it accesible for the casual gamer or we wouldn't have gamers to play. I think mouse and keyboard are great and better in certain instances. I would rather play rainbow six 3 and cs with mouse keyboard opposed to controller. Pretty decent setups run the games without hitches and they have superb netcode. On the other hand there are games like cod4. Its a great game but the engine runs horribly. Its inconsistent graphical glitches plague it, the game has bad netcode, and the game is really unbalanced. But then again i don't even like playing that with a controller.

I think I started playing games on both windows 3.1(The old DOS games, like Wheel of Fortune, Life, and the best at the time, Pipe Dream), and Sega Genesis, around the same time. Personally, I prefer consoles because there are far less possibilities for buttons that may and may not work...in other words, with the exception of Sonic the Hedgehog, on every console system I've ever played, there were no buttons without purpose.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

Halo 1 PC is better than Halo 2 PC but that's not Bungie's fault, it's stupid Microsoft's 'Windows Vista'.

Halo 2 PC is still a great game, but not compared to Halo 1 PC.

Halo 2 Xbox is awesome though because, it's, well, halo... c'mon.

Halo 2 PC is still a great game, but not compared to Halo 1 PC.

I find the controller easier but the mouse and keyboard is more fun and offers you more of a challenge.

I like the Halo PC community more than XBL but I also am more avid with a controller. So I just use a Logitech Dual Action one. I think they're 20 bucks.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

A challenge for you, maybe. If kb/m worked in Halo 3, I'd be way better.

I find the x-box controllers far too bulky. The pc keyboard and mouse allows almost instinctive control andpulls you deeper into the game itself. I believe that the pc is the best controller.

Funny because I find playing HPC with my xbox 360 controller harder than playing with my keyboard and mouse.

Halo 1 pc has Halo CE which kicks halo vista mapmaking's ass. Even though sapien can't undo...

And i hate to admit it but the graphics on the ORIGINAL xbox are better than the ones on my computer...unless im taking screenshots for a HCE map i made, I have to set everything but textures to lowest video quality to avoid lag.
