I saw from a different e3 2004 presentation from kikizo, that y holsters the second weapon and b drops it while doing a melee at the same time. Not sure how to switch back again.

Because they ran out of buttons, (in the E3 demo at least.) the Melee button was to drop the second weapon.

are you sure of this? did you play it? i doubt it buddy............i think HOLDING Y drops it.......

check this out:

bam.............

Tapping Y switches to your secondary weapon and drops your off hand weapon.

Tapping B drops your off hand weapon and performs a melee.

This is from the Bungie FAQ.

your right............

You drop it. And you can't melee while daul weilding, which really sucks. And it wouldn't be twice as powerful, it'll be about the same.

it is twice as powerful if the bullets from both guns hit the targets. unless u consider it as amount of ammo to take down the enemy. it takes them down quicker so in a way its the same power with same bullets but its quicker. now if you had the battle rifle with covie carbine, wow, now thats more than twice as powerfull

what i noticed when watching the e3 2004 multi-demo was that when dual weilding it doesnt show the ammo of the second weapon. i hope that doesnt happen in the real game.
