Heyyo,
Well, most people hate that sniping stuff cause it's called 'spawn camping'. Sure, sometimes I spawn camp a bit too, but usually after 3 guys I run away to the hill infront of their base, and so they have time to gather guns, etc... and if they come after me? hey, your own fault. ;)
Most people who use rl's and fuelrods, I think most people can back me up, are people who can only kill with that. I myself think the greatest guns in Halo are the pistol and shotty since they require quite a bit of skill to use. Most people just use a fuel rod as a close range weapon, so explosive, rapidfire, and high ammo counts? err... at least the rl's more fair.. slow fire rate, long reloads, small ammo count. If you can pwn with a rl quite a bit, especially at medium/long ranges? you probably deserved to pwn with that gun.
Vehicles in general aren't cheap, it's just some tactics... well, the tank's pretty annoying but usually pretty easy to kill as long as they don't spawncamp.. I think that's the worst prob with halopc, you should spawn in with some extra shields or invunerability for 1-3 seconds, cause I see lots of spawnkilling...
anywho, banshees are cheapest vehicles. It's a flying ghost with a fuelrod attached... actually, the banshee's even more accurate than the poor ol' ghost, and the ghost is just limited to the ground. They should've made the banshee less accurate and the ghost more to at least even out the vehicle playing field. I usually don't use a banshee, but if I do I mainly use them as transports, then leap inna hog. Running people over inna banshee just ain't as fun as making them roadkill, plus killing with a hog is harder.. adds to the challenge. ;)
So usually not everything's cheap, it's just how you use them. So try to keep this in mind, don't do too much spawnkilling, give them a change to at least get somewhat sorted out, or else if you spawnkill too much, people tend to get agravated and quit... so that's another thing to keep in mind...
