I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, so here it goes.

When the changes were made to the website a little bit back, I was surprised at a feature that was not implimented. The Yellow Icon link directly to the first Bungie Staffer post. I am no web developer and do not know how hard it would be to impliment the feature, but I should would be awesomely helpful. I don't post regularly and typically just browse for interresting topics and updates, but I do make it a point to try and find out what kind of information is being passed on by the Epic Yellow and Oranges of the forum.

The new feature that I was thinking about is you could click the yellow Bungie icon next to a post (the one showing a Yellow or Orange staffer has posted) and it could bring up the post(s) made by the staffer. It would specifically, pull those important posts we all care about, on screen showing what was posted by the Yellow or Orange (or both) and tell you what page it is on.

I hope my explaination is clear enough; I thought that would be a pretty epic idea would save us browsers a lot of time thumbing through the trollings posts that are inevitable.

What if that employee post multiple times?? Will a billion windows pop-up and each one going to a different post?

Not a good idea IMO.

No, only 1 window will pop up (or it could open in the same window) and have every single post made by a Yellow or Orange in that thread with the post shown as it is now in the thread, with a page number attached to it.

But it could go to the last post by an employee. I like it.

This is unneeded... you can just skim the pages for the yellow text if you're interested.

Why not just read the whole thread so you can see what's going on?

Would you you guys really read 2252 replies in the "Want SWAT in Matchmaking" (Optimatch Forum) thread or, better yet, 5088 replies in the "Brutaly honest review on armor.." (Halo 3 Forum).

Let's be realistic, you are not going to do such a thing.

Edited: To Add another quote.

Everything will be gone long before me. When the first living thing was born, I was here, waiting. When the last living thing dies, my job is finished. I'll put the chairs on the tables, turn out the lights and lock the universe behind me when I leave.

I love it! Genious!

Hello.

In terms of programming it wouldn't be that difficult to implement, I have found myself skimming through 15 pages of posts in order to find a post made by an employee. I think this feature would be great.

Biggest flaw is that if there are multiple admin posts which one will you be linked to? I ersonally think that admins are quoted enough and you can find their post on every single page after they have posted ;-)

I agree with this, just wanting to jump to an employees post with out reading the background of whats come before it is a little shallow don't you think.

They ususally quote who they're replying to, so that's not a huge deal. Besides, who says anyone reads the thread as it is now? I, for one, make it a habit to check post histories of Achronos and the other employees on a regular basis, and I don't (in fact, almost never) read the entire thread that they've posted in, just the OP and whatever the employee is replying to. I don't have that much time...
