Hey Shadow.
I've got a question about setting up an area to play.
I always used to use a tube TV and I never had to worry about any of this before, so I'm completely inexperienced with this.
I've got an Acer X223WBD 22" LCD computer monitor. I'll be purchasing the VGA cables for the 360 right after I get my 360 back from Microsoft, and I plan on hooking the 360 up to the Acer Monitor.
Normally this wouldn't be a problem. Pretty simply plugging things in the right place, but this time it's a bit different.
I've no idea how the audio is going to go down. The Acer Monitor, unlock LCD TVs, don't have built in speakers, and therefore, don't have a place for the Red and White audio cables. So, I have absolutely no idea how I'm supposed to get sound.
Mind explaining?
I've also got the Edifier M3300 speaker system for my computer, which is also uses the same monitor.
So yeah. If you can help, that'd be tremendous.
Oh and, how would I go about setting about the Turtle Beach Ear Force X1's with the Acer monitor and Edifier sound system?
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds like you've got a good setup going. Be sure to put on 1680x1050 resolution settings as soon as you get everything set up. You may notice little black lines above and below the picture. Dont worry. They're meant to be there.
I'm inexperienced with the Edifier, so I dont know what it's like as far as inputs. So I dont know how much help I can be on that.
Basically, your VGA cable is going to also have your Red and White stereo audio cables. It also has an output for Optical cords.
I'm not sure what the Edifier can handle, so I'll leave the exploring up to you.
As for the Turtle Beach Ear Force X1, setup is pretty easy. First, there is a USB cord that plugs from the headset into the Xbox 360 system to provide the headset with power. Then, there is a cord you will plug into the green audio jack from the headset, that will allow for you to plug the Red and White audio cords directly into the headset's audio. From there, you can control sound from this little contraption on the cord.

Dont worry. You've got everything you need. Once you have everything in front of you, you'll see how everything fits in place.
