Great tips but do you have any tips for Team snipers? Im a 49 in snipers and im just 2-3 games away from my 50 and i'm really nervous. I have a 2nd teammate who's good at snipers and my 3rd teamate isn't so great at snipers so i need somebody who's really good at sniping to play 2-3 games with me. (Warning: You will be facing alot of 50's in snipers if you play with me) People say that you rank up easier when playing alone.
It's a tough topic. Nothing is really changed in the ranking system, it's just that you're controlling who you're up against. My teammate I usually go in with have been playing together for years, and have won more games in doubles than I can even imagine. That said, all I know is that I need him on my team and we'll do fine. Our other teammates might as well sit in the back for the game. I dont care as long as they dont play stupid. But what it's really doing, is that it will make it so that you wont be matched up against a team of 4's.
Back when my MLG team was still up and running, I had no problem going in with 4's. We knew each other and worked well together. Now, I realize that I would hate to be matched up with only 1 guy I play with constantly, and 2 guys I just know.
"why?" you ask?
Because I know that since I chose to go in with a full group, I will be matched with a full group. Now, I have not had time to play high ranked games with those two teammates I dont play with often to really know how they play, or to know how they set up. So, our discombobulated team has a good chance of being matched up against a team of 4's who have played 1,000 games together.
It's not going to work out. So, instead, I tend to go in with 2's, so that I know that the other team does not have a great strategy worked out amongst eachother before the game even starts.

Hey, do you think you could do i guide/ vid or something focusing on weapons? For some reason i just can't seem to get my BR back to what it was before i got the RRoD. That and sniper help, something alot of people would like. So, if you do something like that,, it'll be much appreciated. Oh, and thanks for the LW tips.I agree with this. Not just generic obvious tips. I notice that people have this kind of really tame control with their BR and snipe around the 50 range. I tend to flail with my snipe, and my BR seems to always be just a tick off of where it should be. What BR tips do you have? I always get out BR'd by one shot. Always... I'm speaking strictly when I play MLG though. In social it's NBD. I lost my 40 and went to a 38 in MLG because I've been, honestly, terrible the past few days.
I've got a script written (and by script written I mean a bunch of ideas jotted down in a notebook somewhere) about a BR/Snipe video. I'm really just waiting for the right games to be played where I can take a clip where what I'm saying will present itself obviously but not too obviously.
If I'm trying to get a point across... like say... strafing- it's going to have to be brought up in a perfect way. If the player I use it on does terrible against it, then nobody will take notice and just say that the people I'm playing were terrible. If they do too well against it, then people will just say that I got lucky. Then, it's got to be an isolated incident. I dont want too much going on in the screen to distract people from the point I'm trying to get across. It must also be a clip where the point I"m trying to make is enunciated in the video, but as many BR fights go, much is subtle, and I dont want people just going "So what just happened?"
Much to do. Much to do.Sounds good to me. I just adjust beyond belief in 1v1 fights with my BR. That or it's always, as I said, just a tick off. I moved up to 4 or 5 tonight and it seemed to help slightly, but my BR just isnt where it should be for a level 40 or higher in MLG. I got to 40 in MLG and have since dropped. The only thing I'm good at is laying down some shots or surviving, I have so many flaws though. I throw nades too often, especially in a fight, and I run too quickly. However when I dont run I seem to die instantly. Confuses the hell out of me. I watch pros and see them dodge some nades without taking damage and I'm left thinking, "HOW did that nade not hurt them?". I get out BR'd in a strafe fight, 4 or 5 shot and I always think: would a pro have gotten out BR'd there? I cant see how they wouldnt.
I know it's not good to compare to pros, but theyre playing the same game against better people. Much better people. So why is it that everything seems to work for them? Specifically with dodging nades that seem like surefire hits... and again, they have that insane control over their aim. My BR FLAILS when I get the guy one shot, I have no clue why. I try to get the headshot and I get completely off my aim.
