Hey remember me, I went up from a 18 to 35 (LW) since my last question. So this is my question I'm can't get pass 35? When I play I am the best person there (usally) and everyone goes right after me And I get overpowered. It's very annoying, but I d get a good amount (3rd place) but I never win now a days. (1 month) Please give tips on how to take on at least 3 people at once. Thanks for reading.
Lone Wolves is all about proximity and priority. First, people are going to go after who is closest. Second, they'll decide who is the better target. That target may be someone who's hurt, or someone who has a desireable weapon.
Be sure to stay in areas where you can draw "lines" of sight. I've been meaning to describe my term "lines"... maybe I'll do it in a video...
But here's a quick description- I move around the map based on things I call "lines". Being able to do so is going to take practice. Basically, I up the ante on callouts, and ask where my teammates are, unless I can see them myself. I like to know exactly where they are looking. From there, I am able to draw a "line" and pretty much build a wall of where is safe to run. It's hard to describe in text. Pretty much, the way I move is how those situations of "omg howd he get there?!?!? he was all the way on S2 and now he's on the other side of the map!!!" happen.
Getting back on track, I like to move using lines, but instead of knowing where my teammates are looking, I use my enemies. I see where they're running, and know that that area is safe, and I am able to draw lines.
From there, I try to take areas where there are only about 2 or 3 ways to get to me, but the area still has a good view of the map. S2 on The Pit for example. Sure, an obvious control point, but why? First, sniper spawns right by it. There are only 3 ways up to you (two of which you can jump down on the person coming up), a good piece of cover, and a good view of the map.
The main thing you have to worry about is being out of the action. It's good to be cautious, but dont overdo it. You need to be in the action. If you go any higher than +3, you're not aggressive enough.
The Pit is a good example. Since the level is essentially cut in half, it's easy for you to get out of the action, and stuck on the other side. Be sure to control the focus of the fight. Do so by LEAVING a power weapon, perhaps a shotgun or a low sniper on the ground, right where an enemy dropped it. He'll see you walk away, and will want to go get it back. Use this to your advantage. The focus of the battle will go to that weapon, and people will just be charging the area. Keep a decent distance, and throw some BR shots around. You'll do fine.

For those who are interested, I thought I'd make a little announcement. When ODST officially ships, I will be releasing a video shortly to show some good starting strategies for the new maps.
Also, I will be starting a new thread in the ODST section, dedicated to Firefight tips and tricks. I will be trying to collaborate with the Mythic Conquerers, who I am hoping to establish a good Firefight team with, and together we will bring to you all some tips from the campaign pros.
Dont worry, all multiplayer videos and tips will be located here in our already established thread, but it is obvious that much interest will be put into ODST, and I'm going to try to contribute in any way that I can.
Today I will be setting up and holding a Firefight system link at the GameStop I work at. If you happen to wonder into your local GameStop, and you see a guy around a few TV's with firefight going on, and he happens to be wearing a Master Chief costume, go on up and say hi to me.
Actual location hidden for obvious reasons.
