To the Ninjas: Everytime somebody reports a post, how does it show up to you? Does it come in a message or does a little box like an inch or so big show up?

Please don't direct your posts to specific user groups, this is a public forum. It would be better to PM one of them and await an answer.

I think the details are classified because the ninjas are big meanies but my understanding is that reported posts basically go into a cue with the most reported posts appearing near the top and so on. The ninjas then divide their time as best they can by searching through the list to sort out as much as possible.

However I maybe completely wrong but it seems plausible.

Don't play forum cop.

It's probably sent to some database or a server of some sort, and can be veiwed by anyone with access to it.

Let me explain myself. I aim to teach people the rules in an acceptable polite way so that they improve their understanding and will hopefully not break rules obliviously in the future. If I get through to one person then I have bettered the community because of it. Please don't call me a forum cop because I am not, I'm just a member out to make this place a more enjoyable place to be.

Playing WoW gives you back your virginity.

I have a similar question:
If there is a spam poll, and you decide to vote in it, is that considered replying to spam even though you don't post in the thread?

I'm fairly sure that Bungie doesn't trace who votes in a poll, but I suggest simply not doing it. Just in case.

Well Enough Alone...

~"The people who play Bungie games tend to sense that there's something behind the games that's attractive to them. Then they become fans of the games. And then they become rabid fans. And then they become employees of Bungie."(Life story) -Marty

I also have a question and I might as well put it here. If you hot the report button, it reports that specific post, but what if you wanted to report the entire topic in general? Will the ninjas recognize the difference ? (I hope so because sometimes I don't hit report on the actual topic post. I will from now on).

Exactly, you are a forum cop, all you did with that post was solidify my claim.

Kissing ass doesn't get you anywhere buddy, stop trying.

Hello.

Does it matter? I think we should just care if action is taken to the post we reported.

In other words: I don't know.

I didn't say a specific person, all I did was talk to a handful of Bungie.net users. There is no way I am breaking any rule or anything in the code of conduct. If I am please tell me the rule for my future reference.

Don't think so no. It doesn't hurt the forums in any way.

Loose talk is noose talk.

Who cares who's a forum cop? Stosh's mom, of course.

But in answer to the main topic question, reports show up in a super secret fashion that you and I will never know. EVER.

Replying to spam is bad because it bumps it. Voting isn't (but I don't see why you would anyway).

Here's to you, Bungie. 7,777 Covenant Heads on my spear.

I like to imagine the mods driving around a city and then being contacted by dispatch. "We got another spammer on the flood, all available units, please respond" At which point they turn around their badass flaming mod cars and give chase.

Then they jump out of the mod cars and perfectly into the sun's glow, at which point they descend in a heavenly light and strike with a swift strike of the banhammer.
