The Final Fight I Win

Hi, I searched the web but found nothing of interest. So I hope to get my answers from you.
I haven't played Halo 2 for a while because of Halo 3. Now I polished my disc (metaphorically) and started playing tha game again on my Xbox 360. The strange thing is:
The game doesn't run that smooth it used to be on the 360 like half a year ago. It seems to suffer from lag in campaign. Maybe it has something to do with the Xbox 360 Updates? Out of RAM? Very strange.
But even stranger, the Marines, Elites and Grunts now say different things to me than they did the last time. I've played the campaign excessively, but that's new for me. As if the IWHBYD skull was permanent on.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Owners of the Katana: A place for those who have a Katana or over 1000GS in Halo 3.

Somewhere out there... in an alternate reality... Marty decided to stay in the ad jingle business, bringing about an age of amazingly orchestrated Pampers commercials.

Maybe your disk is becoming different, y'know, dust.

ARBITER, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S NOT BUTTER!!! WORT WORT WORT.

Saying different things? I've never had that experience. Perhaps your 360 is a KGB briefcase. Listen carefully, you may foil a plot to kill Weird Al.

In all seriousness, I haven't heard new things while playing Halo 2 on the 360... nor can I hear what people say on the mics.... don't know how to fix that.
